lawn upkeep question

my neighbors lawn is lush all the time,yet mine is never happy.
I've fertilized multiple times with different mixtures,but what does grass want to look nice?

You can borrow my boxer,let him shit his mammoth like landmines, spray it into the lawn with a high pressure water hose and your lawn will be green and lush as hell.

If you want to green your lawn right up, put down some iron. Also use a slow release fertilizer once a month to keep the lawn in great shape. You can actually get a slow release fertilzer with iron. Also you need to water atleast twice a week. Go to Home Depot, they have a good selection of products. Lesco is a really good brand.
