i tend to agree. . .but the people at rolling stone are usually pretty damn good. . .they appreciate artsy-fartsy stuff, of course, but they are not pretentious or high-brow at all and they love a good action/thriller as much as the next guy. . .i saw some previews and i was sufficiently interested. . .i'm sure i'll give it a look-see when it comes out on video. . .
If a publication that constantly sucks artsy-fartsy film dick and they give a good rating to an action/mainstream movie then you can probably count on it being good.

rolling stone? meh. . .i'm a strong conservative. . .i voted for dubya. . .both times. . .still stand firm on the belief that i would rather have him (and his people) at the wheel on sept. 11, than that dolt al gore. . .i also voted for mccain, h-dubya, dole and reagan. . .and i blame the clinton administration for our current financial mess.
i love rolling stone. . .i could do without that asshole matt taibbi most of the time, but the "journalism" is pretty good imh-masters educated-o. . .but mostly, that mag has opened my eyes (and mind) to a lot of music that i wouldn't otherwise have known anything about. . .i've been a faithful subscriber for maybe 20 years.
