Lat pull downs Vs Weighted chins

What is the better excersise for building up the lats?

A) Pull downs on a lat machine
B) Weighted chin ups

I find i can keep better form doing the chins, me and the pull down machine have never really seen eye to eye anyway (bad form, muscle pulls etc) so which is better? Or should i just alternate between OR EVEN do both?

Any opinions?
 
i find that i keep much better form on chins as well, always have. its too easy to cheat with pulldows by leaning back. my back wants to round out too. weighted chins are much better IMO. you can't change gravity, so its hard to be sloppy on form. if you lean back with chins, it makes it harder on your midsection. try to keep your body straight and lean back into a chinup!
