Ok Cindy, you KNOW I am a garage sale goin', eBayin', Nordstrom Rack shoppin' thrifty mama. Basically I'm an expert at getting kewl stuff really cheap BUT...
I splurge on all that stuff because wiht my fine blonde hair, you can really tell a difference if I take short cuts. I buy all my Nexxus hair stuff at Grocery Outlet! Some fancy salon must have gone out of business and sold it all to them. They have it really cheap! I NEVER buy that stuff in a salon. All my tanning lotions and other hair junk I get off of eBay too!
The main thing is to never buy it from the salong if you can help it! But for real...Dove, Suave and all that jazz is crap on your hair! Makes me have bad hair days and well, that's just not ok with me, lol
Honestly, I think a cheap wash like white rain is good enough. For me the real difference is in the conditioner. I use Pantene to help with snarls, then a leave in from Fructis (helps with static and frizz depending on the weather). So, yep, I don't think salon products are that much better to justify the increased price![]()
Cindy...I notice a HUGE difference...I use frederick fekkai and it makes my hair feel like silk. Nothing else does that.
omg i LOVE frederick fekkai. Just love the shea butter conditioner. I would use it so sparingly because it was so expensive

Haha...I use the glossing stuff...the green bottles. But like you, I "save" it haha...only use it when I'm getting ready to go out or something, since at work I have my hair pulled back all the time anyway.
while your on the subject of ladies and their hair...
Can someone please explain to me why the hell it costs you ladies $150-250 to get a fucking hair cut when a guys is like $12.
I've never been able to figure that one out
Oh hells bells, I just saw your new avi, Cindy! Gorgeousssssssssssssssssssssss!! Puddles is gonna freak![]()

it is NOT just a haircut - that has to include color too
wait a min. what city do you live in?
if your gal is paying that much for just a haircut......all I have to say is I'm sorry. lol
I'm in Colorado...
I don't know what all she gets...I just know it's friggin outrageous.
I think their is probably color involved, but still. When you ladies get your hair cut...its not even what I consider a hair cut...its a friggin trim.
and don't even get me started on nails...
lol I know. But we have to do it. Really. our hair is the one accessory that we wear all the time. I do it too. I spend 140 bucks every six weeks to touch up my roots and she gives me what I call an "invisible trim."
i dont get my nails done. typing.
pedicures are about as far as i go , and i dont do those year round like i should.
so I can't say much.I don't really care...I give my wife a hard time about it, but she deserves all that kinda shit.
Plus...I spend a lot of money on supplements, and "other" fitness productsso I can't say much.
all two of you lol.
Do you think that generic or drugstore haircare products are as good as the stuff in the salons?
I'm tired of spending a fortune on haircare products when i see some girls using suave or dove and their hair looks fine to me.....
what do you think?
i dunno, i spend 24 bucks on the large bottles of shampoo/cond together (24 bucks for both combined) of Matrix Biolage and it lasts me a long time. I dont think its that costly to tell you the truthI have very very thick hair plus its processed so I guess i shoudnt skimp. Its just rediculous though
i do buy my tanning lotion on ebay. I am going to quit tanning for good in two weeks so that should save some cash too.
my sister has a license to get into those state ran beauty supply stores but she is too busy to go with me
so i should try ebay? How do i know that what I am getting is the real deal?
with things being the way they are right now, it feels better to spend less than more....if ya know what i mean
no they arent. not even close. any haircare professional will tell you the same. they strip your hair of the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. i have a few friends who are stylists and they would not bullshit me.
i never buy store brand haircare products.

meh...I still say it's a ripoff. I could probably take a shit in a bottle and if I was a "sylist" and told you it was the best thing ever and it was $50 a bottle you wimminz would probably buy it.
I got some new shampoo the other day...cheap o' shit and my wife asked me when I got out of the shower...that smells good "did you use my expensive stuff".
LOL!
that is so funny. I say the same thing to Johnny.
"Dont you use my hair products, you tell me if you run out of shampoo before you actually do, and I'll make sure I get you more, but dont use my stuff!!!!!!!!"
I'll always accuse him of using it when i see his bottle is empty...."what shampoo did you use? Oh yeah? cuz i noticed your bottle is empty....."
lol scandelous. Brings out the stingy bitch in me I guess.
the other thing about the professional products is that you dont need to use nearly as much of them as you would for the store bought, so they can last a lot longer too

(or head and shoulders).
that's what i use...LOL
i buy both expensive salon stuff and cheaper stuff.
i bought some bumble & bumble stuff that i HATE, and i love the Loreal Studio line. I do have some root lift that I paid a lot for (big sexy hair) and really like. i use aussie conditioner, and usually paul mitchell tea tree oil shampoo (or head and shoulders).
