Ladies - Look at your hands:

Is your ring finger (the one betw the pinky and bird finger) LONGER than your index finger?

An article I just read in the Doctor's office said men's hands are typically this way, whereas most women's ring fingers are NOT longer than their index finger. It said women who have the longer ring finger may have above-average testosterone levels, or at least were exposed to higher Test levels in utero (which caused their hands to grow this way). It also said lesbians have this finger pattern more often than heterosexual women.

My ring finger is longer but I'm not lesbian. Always a tom-boy though. I thought that was because I only had older brothers who threatened to beat the crap out of me if I played with dolls! And... my mom had me in her late 30's, probably her estrogen levels dropping by then, wonder if this had any effect? Hmmmm

Very interesting theory about the fingers - anyone ever heard of this? Any truth to it?

i have never heard of this, but when i look at my hands, my left hand ring finger is just slightly longer than my index, almost not noticable at first, but my right hand ring finger is noticably longer. i'm not a lesbian either, but have been with a girl before. that is very wierd!

hey, my ring finger is longer than my index finger too!! i've always been kind of a tomboy and always have had kinda of a "guy" mentality about things...i wonder if that has anything to do with it...this is pretty interesting...hmm...

That is kinda weird - my ring finger is slightly longer. I wasn't really a Tom boy - but get along better with men & also have that 'guy' mentality. I am primarily hetero - but do like women.

My Mom also had me when she was 30!

Grrrr am I the only wierdo who's ring finger isn't longer than my middle finger. It's not even close to being the same length. I want higher than normal test levels too. I never get any of the cool abnormalities. Got stuck with a damn outtie(belly button) , that's a great one

cause my ring finger is almost an inch longer than my index finger!!!


I'd never even noticed! my other hand is not like that!

and yep...not lesbian but have been with women.....and a huge tomboy growing up....and DEFINITElY get along better with men than women....
