Ladies, is "ma'am" insulting?

Don't see any problem with being called Ma'am. It's better then a lot of things you could call her.

However sometimes we (women) don't want to admit our age and "ma'am" is a BIG slap in the face of reality.

Of course I will open the door for a lady also, and yes,
I have gotten that same look for doing that.

I still do it though, because it's the right thing to do.
