Lack of Motivation?

Lee

New member
Ive been trying to get back into the gym lately after reinjuring my back and hurting my shoulder a few months back. The problem is with my job, hardwood flooring, im almost always exhausted when I get home. The problem is I can never motivate myself to get out of the house once I get home. Is there anything you guys do to motivate yourself before lifting?

i take no xplode and you get so jittery you have to lift......lol

lol. unfortunately one of the contributing factors to my lack of motivation is the stress of being broke most of the time.

lee, dont make it a ?, lifting is to be a part of your life like breathing air. get back into it bro. on days i am not sore, its no question, i just lift. you've been doing it for a while, your name is familiar. get back into it!!!

its just hard to get out and do it when i get home from work since my whole body already hurts from work. im also trying to quit drinking at the moment, i was well on my way to developing a serious drinking problem. i just wanted to see what the bros on here would say for some motivating factors.

If you're exhausted when you get home, why not just lift before all that? Lift in the morning after a good night's sleep.

he said it here.

Get fired up talk to a friend or someone that would be willing ot lift with you having a partner can help when you know there is someone waiting at the gym for you.

also there is always ephedra :D good for getting my ass out of bed in the mornings.. whatever it takes do it..

Look in the mirror and tell yourself to quit being a fucking bitch. Then go train.

You have one of two options.

A) Go in the morning

B) Do not stop off at home after work, or if you do, DO NOT SIT DOWN. If your ass hits the couch it is a wraaaaaaappppppp.

Other little motivational techniques are some kind of before picture or motivational phrase taped to the snooze button of your alarm clock and/or tape the same to the tv screen so u don't turn it on when u get home.

Amp02 made you depressed after you stopped using it?

you're obviously one of two things, a moron, or a teenager. if youre not going to be helpful then dont post, these forums arent for trolls and assholes.

The best motivation I get is from having a good training partner, do you have any buddies that will start going to the gym with you?

Make it a friendly competition, who will get to this weight first...or who will deadlift this, or bench that..

its all good bro. i tell myself, friends, whomever not to be a bitch. dont take things so seriously. in other words stop being a bitch and get your ass in the gym!

That's all there is to it.

Learning how to make it fun for YOU is how you'll extend your lifting "carrear" longevity.

Mix it up. Not with bullshit lifts, but with new technical lifts you have to learn or start strength training and never stop :)

Nope, neither of those. For the fail!

These forums are definitely for assholes - you're here.

If you're not going to put up with my trollism, then don't start threads.

Cock face.

My only motivation is change.

Be it good or bad... It's change and I know what I need to do to make progress forward.

I love being in the weight room... cloud of chalk around me. Metal blaring in my ears. I love the pain of weight feeling as thought it will crush me but I won't let it. The adrenaline pump and sheer aggression released in the gym is an escape for me.

it's a "sickness for the thickness" (bigcracker quote i think, lol)

Did you used to be in Alaska? Get out of the continguous states, bitch!

do just one Body part Lee

that will only take you about 20 minites or so after a warm up

this way you can make gains while not over working your self mentally and other wise.

Also supps like Amplify02 and G-covery can help
especially G-covery

Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday split. High volume, more exercises on Sat. & Sun. Low volume, 2-3 exercises on Tues. & Thurs, work up to a top single or triple and then go home.

Sleep and not drinking will fix most of your problems.
