Knee Problem

Hey guys, I have a problem with my knee and I was looking to see if any of you had some advice before going to see a doctor.

On January 3rd, I was running on the track and the outer side of my left knee just started to hurt like a bitch so much so that I had to stop running, and the pain persisted through walking up until a few hrs later after icing it down.

I read that it would be wise to give it a break so I didn't quit working out, but I did exercises that did not have high knee impact (biking, etc) and it was all fine. I took a two week break from running and then I tried it again. I got the knee pain again, but it wasn't as awful as the first time I had it.

Today, I was going to the gym and just as I was getting changed my knee started aching just like the first time it happened and I didn't even bother trying to work out.

I work out twice a day, 5 times a week rotating between bike, elliptical, incline treadmill, and running on the track.

Do you guys think this is something stemming from over working out or should I go see my doctor immediately. I never get the pain unless I work out, but today it was scary cause I worked out in the morning and then going back to the gym I didnt even make it to do a workout. I'm afraid of messing my knee up permanently, and I was wondering if it would be wise to just take 2 weeks off completely from doing cardio or if the wisest choice would be to just see a doctor asap.

Cheers

Bro you are doing a lot of working the legs man. Of course that is going to be the cause of pain. I would still get it looked at though. It can't curt.

agreed. wayyyy too much work on the legs..give it some rest man. you putting too much strain on ur knee joints..tendons and ligaments. if you dont let them rest..all that is guna do is translate into hip pain. take some time off...
