He made a set of farmers walk implements and a log the other
day...they seem to be very nice. The farmes design needs some
work...but they are decent to practice with.

i dont, i love the log. doesnt hurt. and i think he is refering to the length of handles and maybe length of the weight bars but the weight bars are good for me. i will let ya know how they feel this afternoon.

The farmers handles are not high enough and they are a good bit thick compared to what you will use in a contest. Thicker and you will work your grip more but you will not build the core strength that you would if you had a thinner handle and grip wasn't as much of a factor. I also need more room to add weights and collars on the end...

I have hit my wrists on my log a few times...but the holes in his seem a bit bigger than mine too.

and bout the paint, they already had a coat of grey when i got em from where my dad put the first coat on. and if not painted i think they'll rust faster.

didnt cost me nothing b/c they made it from steel they had laying around at the plant(shipyard my dad manages, build barges) but my next projects might cost a lil but he gets steel at a real discount b/c its price they give a large company. (trinity marine)

if anyone likes my log and wants one i think my dad is making 1 or 2 more to sell, maybe 3. they're 4ft, handles 24" apart, 105lbs

diameter is 8in. feels real comfortable to me. i like it better than the 5footers.
