I think it's funny how back in December Microsoft said this-

When asked about the PlayStation 3 Slim and whether Microsoft would ever consider such a redesign for its console, Greenberg said, "We feel great about the hardware that we have in the market today and our focus has been on great bundle and doing things like the holiday bundle, and not on going back to the drawing board on a console."

And now they come out and announce "Xbox 360 Slim".

They're lucky for their sake they had a year head start on Sony because it seems they've been playing technology catch up all generation.

The fact that they haven't announced a price yet for this Kinect means it will probably be too expensive for most people to bite, at least til the Holiday season. It wouldn't be surprising if whatever lead they have left keeps on disappearing.

Well it's an add on and not a console itself so it cant be too picey, specially if they want to rev console sales with this...

I think the deal they signed with ESPN will do more to keep sales going than Kinect itself. Together though it's pretty cool.

$150 is kinda steep. That figure was rumored before but most people were estimating about half that.

And I'd imagine the current 360 fanbase is grumbling like this at the dramatic shift MS has made towards the casual audience-

Exactly it's not an actual console that's why $150 would be a total rip off, specially for people who like it but dont have the console yet, between console, add on and games they will be coughing up a lot of cash....

My Wii fit cost $100 when I bought it, this does so much more for an extra $50. I also do not need a stupid wand in my hand ....
