ok, just wondering if anyone else goes through this....
did chest last night, incline bb, did 225x5, and that last one was a struggle
(i think the incline bench i was on was too upright as well...btw)

before i messed up my shoulder (like a year ago) i was hitting 2 sets of 8 at 225, working my ass off, but got em

now i can't get to 1 set of 8

and EVERY other movment is up, even incline db presses

just seems a little odd to me

something could have been off..try it again next week..i maybe a little anal but i always do my moves with the same bar on the same bench etc..if someone is on it i beat them up and take it from them j/k.. ill wait till theyre finished..

i do inclines 5x5 and whats odd is one week the weight seems heavy..struggle to get the fifth on sets 4 &5..then the next week bump it up 5 lbs and im blasting all weights like its a warmup (not really but im moving the weight with almost no sticking point)..

dont get too down and jsut keep plugging away

i hate it when people are on my equipment!
don't they know who i am!
lol
yeah, i'm not down since i am seeing improvments again (first time since injury)
its just that i havent been able to do 225x8 since then
and i almost feel like i need help unracking every time, i just dont feel liek i'm in a good position to unrack the bar

oh well, at least i didnt drop down to to only being able to do like 100# or sumthin

This may make you feel better then. I drive 40 mins once a week, just to use a certain flat bench at a certain gym. Even though there is a gym 15 mins from my house. Changing benches makes a MASSIVE difference for me in terms of reps and one rep max. This is also the same for the inclines. I cant put my finger on it, dont understand it. Ive analyzed it, but cant find the answer. Youll always see me on the same flat bench though.

Could just be cyclical. Are you concentrating on a certain lift or phase of training in general?

Right now my deadlift is very strong, but my military press has been stagnant, incline db press barely improving. But I am concentrating on improving my cleans and snatch weight. So I am content with maintaing certain other lifts until I refocus on them.

Unless you are juicing, it will be pretty hard to peak and maintain your weights in all lifts year round.

After asn injury it takes a long time for me to lift as heavy as before

It's more a fear of getting injured again than a strength issue
