Khat for study aid and stimulant during workouts?

I have recently heard of Khat and how it contains many stimulant properties. Has anyone ever used it, or know of it's legal status in Canada? I've tried wikipedia and it had some usefull information but I invite you to share you comments and opinions.

KHAT is a schedule 1 drug in the united states, it is schedule IV in canada.
