Kettlebells?

Hey Guys,
So ive been working out for a while now, and I think for next year I want to start my "home gym". Yes, ill have a squat rack and a bench, so thats taken care of. I was also thinking about investing in some kettlebells to do core training. It also seems like they are more mobile so if I was heading out somewhere, i could grab a few 26kg and go on a trip and still do my routine.
What are your thoughts on kettlebell workout routines?

kettlebells are great if you've been trained and know how to use them properly. Most people just swing em around and look like jackasses. I'd buy all the basics for your gym before I worry about extra stuff like this though. Some people own em and they just sit on the floor collecting dust.

Are you getting a good set of weights with a good bar, or just the walmart special "olympic weight lifting set"? going for an oly bar or a PL bar, or both?

Probably gonna go with the Oly bar, but metal weights. I dont like cheap stuff, but something all together less than $1000.
