Ketotifen - what you need to know!

OK, so if you're using Cimetidine(Tagamet), would you use the same amount of Cimetidine as you would ketotifen? ie 2-6mg ED?

so thaaaaaatttssss how u come up with all those informative posts - ive often wondered about that! ;)

well i did a little looking into it and the active ingredient in tagamet is cimetidine and in zantac is rantadine. both are H2 blockers while ketotifen (like benadryl, allegra, claritin, doxepin - which is also an antidepressant) is an H1 blocker. now perhaps histimine blockers in general have an enhancing effect on clen that would be similar to ketotifen - could benadryl (Diphenhydramine) which is in the same category, have a very good effect? and it is of course quite easy to find and cheap.

2 things...no 3 things....1st...i am an idiot..2nd...it was tagamet i was thinking of...3rd....i looked at my library of info wrong...apparently i had accidently put the ketotifen under the part that was supposed to be cimetidine..which is the active ingredient in tagamet and that increases the effectiveness of clen ....

ARNOLD, can you tell me why you used Cimetidine, which is a H2 antagonist?

Ketotifin, is a mixed H1 antagonist, with mast cell stabilizing activity and is the drug that has been shown to increase beta adrenergic receptors.

So if you add ketotifen to your ECA it will increase weight loss, but will you also have even more energy than if you just use ECA alone??

Good info, but no one has answered the question everyone is really thinking about, where the hell can you get this stuff??????

Good info Guru. 2 Things though:

1. People have been bugging me for a while to find
another ketotifen-type drug that works but thats
also OTC.
Well, Cimetidine(Tagamet) has about roughly the
same properties as ketotifen and is more readily
available. Don't get me wrong, Ketotifen is still
the best, but cimetidine is also quite good.

Also, studies have shown ketotifen to do:

1. Increase C-amp levels by 80%!!!! Thats better than
caffeine btw. Ketotifen CAN actually be used by itself
for fat-loss.
An analogy of ketoifen is like saying its like the Clomid of
the CNS.

2. Even after SEVERE down-regulation of the B2-receptors,
ketotifen up-regulated them in 6 days using only 2mg/day!!!!!!!

3. It has anti-acneic properties and HAS been used for this
purpose in Germany.

4. It stimulates apetite. Strangely, for mostly protein.

Extremely Safe, NO KNOWN SIDE-EFFECTS at all.

Its actually an Ulcer-healing drug after all.

TAGAMET dosage varies from 600-1000mgs/day
depending on bodyweight.
Adjust accordingly..
