Just wondering

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on "how" testosterone effects boners. I mean, a boner is just blood flow to the spongy tissue of the penis - how does a hormone, or lack thereof, effect that?

generally a higher testosterone level increases aggression, libido etc. however that isn't always the case. after my deca cycle my test level was under 100 and I was still horny.

a lot of guys run cycles then feel horny after and assume they are recovered. unfortunately you cannot go by feel.

as for your question you can google and get a lot of scientific explanations I'm sure but my logic says that when your test is high your brain tells your body "MUST BREED MUST BREED" so you want to have sex 3X per day. hormones mess with the brain.

Good answers. The whole androgen/brain connection is amazing and baffling to me. I mean, you can literally get stronger within one dose of highly androgenic compound which means strength is mostly neural. Which is amazing.

The actual pathway? I can get into a lengthy explanation but the short answer is, nobody really knows. Hormones affect the brain and we know so little about how or even why the brain works. And yes, strength is, to a great extent, nueral, which is why the old timers used to use cycles to prove that they could lift more weight -- even once they got off. Today, it's different. No sauce, big loss.

There is also a physical component to testosterone also -- mainly ATP and blood volume. Of course, using creatine and BRIDGE could cover that pretty well also. And muscle tissue absorbs nitrogen more efficiently making them bigger, thus stronger. Using GEAR fills that gap. They really are a great advantage to the guy to wants to used steroids sparingly and make continual gains.

As for the libido effect, I'd say that's very primal and instinctual. Testosterone is the driving force and we're designed to procreate as much as possible until we get eaten by the saber tooth tiger or killed by a younger tribesman with more testosterone.

Great post Nelson, lol at being eaten by a sabre tooth tiger, however that holds alot of true meaning. good read
