just think of what you'd be eating right now if you didn't live this lifestyle

I was just thinking of what I would be eating six months ago (before changing my lifestyle) compared to what I eat today. pretty interesting.

Before:
waffles or blueberry muffin with decent amount of butter
italian sub on white bread roll
tons of pasta with meaty sauce, and tons of bread and butter
probably a big burger, maybe some fries
top it off with some ice cream and snickers bars mixed together
then there would be 7 or so Jack and Cokes at the bar, followed by a late night fest of pizza and/or bagel with loads of cream cheese

Now:
egg whites/ protein shake
2 cans of tuna w/ tbsp of miracle whip
turkey on whole wheat
some nuts to snack on
chicken breasts with broccoli
protein shake b4 bed
2 CLA pills throughout the day


feels good to be healthy, doesn't it?
 
Yes, but there is a limit.

When your like me you get orthorexia nervosa and it takes over your life. :bawling:

Sometimes too healthy is not healthy. Understand!?!
 
I've always eaten pretty well - my mother - but I must say there would a lot more pizza, taco bell and rocky road ice cream in my life.
 
A typical day back then for me would have been.....

sausage egg and cheese biscuit and some cinnamon toast crunch (I looooooove cereal), with whole milk.
Big Bag of chips (with some dip on a good day)
about 3 20 oz sodas
Cookies (maybe about 6-8) Chips-a-hoy, pecan sandies, shortbread, girlscout tagalongs, fudge shortbread
Yoohoo (god I love that stuff!!!!)
Taco Bell, (or Whatever fast food resturant we go to for that day)
More soda
Maybe some Ice Cream later (Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough)
For Dinner-maybe some Chineese for or some pizza.

Then to top it all off I would go to bed directly after eating dinner. Did'nt do shit during the day either but sit at my desk at work and snack. And to top it all off all of this food was condensed into maybe two to three meals for that day.


Now it is pretty basic.....

Oatmeal, cream of wheat, or brown rice for breakfast. (I likeall of these choices with some soy milk, spray butter, splenda, with a bit of cinnamon.

Chicken Breast, Salmon, Tuna, Ground Turkey or Baked Catfish with some type of vegetable. (I really love cauliflower, brocolli, and squash).

Cottage cheese (4%) I know it should be fat free but I refuse ---hey gotta have at least some enjoyment with this.

i might throw in some whole wheat bread or wheaties every now and then. Or I might have some cashews (but I try to limit those, because I get out of control).

Sometimes I get that I-dont-give-a-damn attitude and I go and start eating everything in site again (and it feels so good), But I try to limt these outbreaks to maybe two weekends a month at the most.
