Having the highest rate of cancer (which isn't true anyway) has nothing to do with healthcare so I'll assume you really mean Canada has one of the worst cancer survival rates in the world?
Really?
Political Calculations: A Closer Look at Cancer Survival Rates
Cancer Rates and Unjustified Conclusions | FactCheck.org
And Canada rations on healthcare? I'm not even sure what that is supposed to mean although it seems to be a popular catch phrase in the US these days. In any case, if Canada 'rations' their healthcare I suppose that would mean the most basic indicators of the success of a country's system would show the US with significantly better results right?
oops
Canadian Single-Payer Health Care Program: Is it Better than US Health Care?
http://www.thestar.com/article/204163
A systematic review of studies comparing health outcomes in Canada and the United States | Guyatt | Array
So dozens of studies involving physicians from both countries examining a wide array of healthcare indicators. Shockingly, Canada fares better in the majority of the studies. Even in the most basic indicators such as infant mortality and life expectancy. This even though the US spends significantly more money on healthcare.
Amazing what you can find with a little effort.
I'm not a Hockey fan! However, I live in the Pittsburgh area, and Hockey is huge! They worship
Crosby! Whoever, said Hockey is not popular in the U.S. is sadly mistaken.
I like Canada's party scene(Toronto) they have a diverse group of women up there that are freaks!
However, I would not want to live there for the simple fact it's 20 degrees there 9 months out of the
year. And they have socialized medicine meaning you got to get permission to buy an aspiren(LoL)
Fuck That!
Bro,
For starters, I was joking about the aspirin, but you guys took it personally.
I must have hit the right button on you boys because you had to retaliate
with your snide remarks.
Secondly, I don't care how many links you throw- up it's all liberal propaganda.
I'm aware the US media is 80% liberal, and will say and do anything to get their
Marxist agenda passed.;even if it means collaberating with you Canadians in the
press or should I say "Pravda". Those stats are bunk, and are easily altered, and
unscrutinized.
"Ration" or "rationing" means to save health-care, and to give health-care to
people who the Goverment feels lives are more valuable than other peoples.
In Layman's terms " if a 25 yr old man has cancer, and a 60 yr old man has cancer
they will treat the 25 yr old before they would the 60 yr old because his life is deemed
as more valuable because he is younger".
I had to get cat-scan a couple of years ago. The tech that did my scan said they
did 3 people from Canada in past two months. I asked her why people from
Canada came all the way down here for a simple cat-scan? she replied "that they
were on a waiting list to get the scan, and a board had determine if they were ill
enough to get the scan. The one women who got the scan ended up having a brain tumor
and would have waited any longer she would have died, that's because your system
is sooo fucking"successful".
Even if your system works(and i know it don't) it's because you have a low population
because nobody wants to live on that glacier you call a country.
I'm sure you love UHC and your Welfare check you receive from your Goverment
because like your country depends on our country for everything you depend on
your goverment for everything.
I was at that game...classic the way Sid ripped their hearts out!![]()
Reality check: If Canada was really that cool, we Americans would have taken you over a long time ago.
kkthxbye!
I didn't comment on your aspirin remark nor have I taken anything personally or insulted you. I'm just seeing you throwing out a lot of the same hyperbole your politicians are without backing a single point up. So I tried to give you some of those troublesome things called facts to read.
Like I said before I was joking about the aspirin if you would have looked closley
I put a (LOL) beside it. Nevertheless, you hijacked the thread because you felt
the need to stick up for your inept Canadian bros. Moreover, you think your
slick, and superior I can tell by the tone of your posts, but unfortunately for
you I see right through the pseudo intellect.
Ah yes. When you have no argument, fall back on the classic question the source. If you cared to actually make the effort to research, you would see that those 'bunk stats' are from numerous different sources on both sides of the border. Those same 'bunk stats' are backed up by 4 decades of research. Again, if you cared to actually check you would know this. But since you have absolutely nothing to contribute but conjecture and statements with nothing to back them up, I guess this isn't going anywhere.
Ben Skinner, the director of health and pharmaceutical policy research at the Fraser Institue,
notes that "Canadian patients... are worse off than uninsured Americans, the latter of whom are at least legally allowed to use their own money or credit to buy health care. Canadian
patients who want to escape the delays in the public system are also barred from paying
privatley for health care services. Goverment tells you what to do!

Absolute bullshit. I challenge you to show a single reputable study proving this happens in Canada.
Sylvia de Vries, a fifty-one-year-old corporate communication manager from Windsor,
Ontario, coundn't get approval for ovarian cancer surgery from the goverment
bureaucrats. She crossed the border to Pontiac, Michigan, where an American surgeon
removed a forty-pound (18-kilogram), foot-long (35-centimeter) tumor from her body.
The toronto Globe and Mail reported that "had shw waited two weeks, she would have
faced potential multiorgan failure, rendering her unstable for surgery."
PrairiePundit: The horrors of rationed health care in Canada.
lol, more bullshit posing as fact. Again, please show me a single reputable case where a Canadian DIED because they had to wait for healthcare. Since you can't, here are several examples of Americans that have DIED due to lack of care.
Brian Sinclair, a forty-five-year-old double amputee, died after a thirty-four hour wait
in a Manitoba, Canada, hospital emergency room during which he never saw a doctor
or nurse. He was suffering from a bladder infection made worse by a blocked catheter.
The medical examiner ruled that the death would have been preventable had he been
seen in time. He registered at the triage area and then was forgotten about. he was
discovered dead, in a wheelchair by a security guard thirty-four hours later.

Barry D Stein,President of the Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada said" What's
going on in Canada is shameful" "This treatment, which was finally approved last year
in Canada and which was long overdue, is not reaching patients who are desperately in
need of...a treatment which is the standard of care in the treatment of disease."

Study links 45,000 U.S. deaths to lack of insurance | Reuters
t r u t h o u t | Study: 2,266 Veterans Died Due to Lack of Insurance in 2008
Colorectal cancer rates are much higher in Canada(6.7 per 100,000) than in the US
(4.8 per 100,000)
www.coloncancercanada.ca/. , www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/colon-and-rectal.
And although 41 percent of cases in Canada prove fatal, only 34 percent in the US
lead to death. You can get your stats from the above two links.
Because we have better health care!
I can go on if you like! I have plenty more to share or do you want me to
spare you and your country more humiliation.
Oh please. If you can't even debate the most simple points without stooping to bullshit schoolyard insinuations then don't play.
I'm sorry I'm not as mature as you! Could you please teach me some internet etiquette.
Unless you live in the lower third of the United States then your climate is pretty much exactly the same as where I live.
The jet stream barely rises above Toronto in the summer!
I've never even seen a welfare cheque.
Yeah right!
I do love UHC. I think it is the best option for my country. It may not be for the United States but that's not really my concern. I hope your country chooses the best option to give everyone proper care. Just stop lying about supposed issues in other countries healthcare systems. Now if you came to me and said I have concerns about the Canadian system because you have long wait times for non-essential and elective care then you would actually have a valid argument. One that could be easily corroborated with facts. But if you're going to make shit up, then your countries attempt to fix the system has already lost.
And please give it up with the ridiculous crap about Canada depending on the US for everything. That nonsense is more tired than Michael Moore's refrigerator door.
what.. wait.. really!?!
Really now!?!
ahem!!! war of 1812!!! you guys already TRIED that!!!
but if you ever tried to do it again, the rest of the world would immediately gangbang you! China fugging loves us!! we give them all the resources.![]()
you guys would make it as far as southern canada and start to freeze up. ;p
