i took him and his girl, her mother and 10 year old brother over to the school to fill out some papers.
i wish i was back in college.

either you mean my brother (i adopted him), who goes to college in florida or you mean my son's girlfriend, who lived with us for a few months.
She is back home with her mom and little brother (her other brother died a month ago in an ATV accident. He was 16). I was going to just take my son, but he asked if his GF could come with us, since she had to sign up too. Her mother ended up going with us, which was good because she needed financial aide papers.
It's a local community college- about $95 a credit.

Glad the sons GF is back at home
yeah, they are doing pretty good. Her mother said she still cries every day (of course), and they have more problems since amanda's mom and dad are going through a nasty divorce. The father won't pay the bills, so they keep having things shut off, but they are surviving.

Congratulations on having a kid in college! Does he know what he wants to take for his first year so he can then change it three times?
computer science/networking for now.
That might change, but I hope not- he's really good at it.

The funny thing was, my son was hesitant to go into computers because he didn't want to be some "computer geek". I convinced him that the IT guy at any company a. makes a good living, and b. Is the most popular guy because EVERYONE wants to be on the IT guy's good side.
His other interests are video editing and motorcycle mechanics.

Too bad 90% of Young Americans have a degree in myspace sciences nowadays. Their incomes are gonna be huge!!
