Just returned from seeing Star Wars. It sucked.

What a disappointment. Did that senator bitch have to change clothes THAT MANY TIMES? In the original, Princess Leia wore the same outfit for TWO WHOLE MOVIES. Unheard of. This bitch couldn't remain in the same outfit two minutes. Speaking of Princess Leia, did you see how they tried to resemble this girl the same way towards the end? Hell no wonder Anakin is turning, you see her nipples sticking out in that one outfit.

Yoda sucked. Someone must have laced his Geritol with crystal meth. He was like the Mosquito from hell.

Jango Fett wasn't such a bad ass. He didn't last long.

The arena scene with the Jedi's fighting was repititious. Ohhh... look they are blocking laser blasts. again, again, and again.

In the early arena scene, did you notice how Obi Wan vs. that crab creature had a B sci fi flick feel to it. LIke Mystery Island, Planet of Dinosaurs, or something. sigh..........

Speaking of Obi wan. What a Jesus Freak he has turned out to be.


the movie was horrible. I wish I could meet Lucas and tell him this to his face. He really needs to let someone else do the next movie.

I was praying that when Mace Windu entered the arena and sprang his light saber on Jango Fett that he would say "This party is FUCKING over. What? YOu say What one more motherfucking time...."

I haven't been able to get it to work yet because of some codec it wants that I've downloaded and installed 10 times already, but this review and the 1000 other shitty ones I've read are making me not want to waste the time to get it to work. No it's not that bad. People just have high expectations and want them to be exactly like the old ones. If you are a diehard starwars fan and are really into the story line, this movie tells the story well, and fills in a lot of blanks.

I agree. I liked it better than TPM, but it still doesn't come close to the first(last) 3. It did do a better job of catching the feel of the originals. I haven't seen it on the big screen yet. I had a decent telesynced rip though.

YES!! It was THAT BAD!! It sucked. Come on people, this was not two years worth of wait. This was a made for TV movie. I have followed the Star Wars saga, but this was NOT IT! I am sorry.

And why did they call it Attack of the Clones? The Clones only had that one battle in the end. Not like they raided anything. It should have been called Introducing the Clones.

It the end, when they kissed, I want her to kick him in the nuts and push him over the railing into the water screaming... "I really love Obi Wan." Man, it was lame.

They killed off Darth Maul for this lame ass villian? The fight scene with Darth Maul was 100x better.

Darth Tyrannus did suck. Darth Maul was way better and they didn't use him enough in TPM. I was hoping for some better Jedi fights in this one.

The movie was slightly above average and had good effects.
Story sucked - just like every other star wars movie.
Why do you guys like the old ones so much?
I hated it when the oh so cute ewoks clubbed the elite troopers with some sticks so small they would have broken without the troopers wearing armor.

But I'm not complaining about the one monster slash that miraculously removed half of Padme's top all the way around. Did anyone else notice how there were a couple CG characters that walked without touching the floor?

It wasn't as bad as I feared, but the acting could have been a lot better. They kept going between natural and stiff, usually whenever they had to say really bad lines. George L definitely needs an editor to clean up most of those lines.

Call me cynical, but most of the "action" scenes looked like they were taken straight from a videogame.

People, this is not Stanly Kubrick or Ingar Bergman -- this is fucking STAR WARS!! lol You don't compare the Mona Lisa to a comic book right?? One is ment for serious contemplation, the other for good, quick, mindless entertainment. It's the same deal with Star Wars.

That being said, I LOVED Episode 2. Ewan McGregor finally looked like he was having fun in the role....Yoda kicked some major ass...the clone troopers were cool as hell...

The best thing about it, IMO, was Palpataine. Even tho he had about 10 lines total, you could feel his influnence throughout the entire film. Everything that happened was a result of his manipulation -- I think the movie did a great job showing just how smart and ruthless he is (I mean, you don't get to be the ruler of a vast inter-stellar empire by being a pussy).

4/5 for me.

I'm with Taps on this one, take it for what it is, it is fucking Star Wars, great entertainment.
I loved it, i loved spotting bit's in the story, like when Obi Wan says to Annakin "some times i think you'll be the death of me".

Had a great big grin on through the whole film...

Pardon the interruption - but didn't Palpatine refer to Dakoo (sp?) as Lord Tyrannus? Which would make the next move foreseeable - Vader killing/replacing Tyrannus.


Otherwise - decent film with alot more background for the whole series. But the next chapter better be great to save Lucas's hide (and if we get to see the emergence of Vader - it would be hard not to score an 8 out of 10).

I think Yoda kills Tyrannus on Dagoba. According to the storyline (if i remember correctly) the emperor has all the jedi's killed. Yoda hides on Dagoba and Obi wan on Tatooine. The emperor sends Tyrannus to kill Yoda but Yoda wipes him out. The battle was so great that it left that whole area scarred so the Emperor was unable to sense Yoda's presence.
