just had my wisdom teeth pulled

i just had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and i have to admit i was scared but he gave me a iv and 10seconds later i was out...when i woke up i had a mouthfull of gauze and i was in a little bit of pain...doc prescibed me darvocet 1tab every 4hrs as wellas penicillin 4 times daily it sucks cause i cant eat anything and i have ice packs surrounding both my cheeks all i can do is surf the web and play my xbox but i just bought xbox live so i should be entertained for a few days..lol how long till i can start to eat REAL food again man a chicken sandwich sounds good

Prolly like 3 days. I ate a lot of mashed potatoes when I had mine out. I ate a steak by swallowing the bites after 2 days because I couldn't take it. Good luck man. I know it sucks.

Baby them. I ended up getting really sick frmo my pain meds and throwing up a lot-- and lost a blood clot. That dry socket was no fun at all.

I had a back molar removed and it was rooted so deep they had to break it in 2 halves and pull them out seperately with pliers. He basically took a chisel and hammer and broke that bitch in half. I remember the asst holding my head while the doc was wrenching back and fourth with the pliers. Got friggin dry socket too. Fuck that sucked!

Dry socket is one of the absolute worst things. Just take your time and take care of them. Don't overdo it, and don't use a straw or suck on anything (lol).

I had all 4 taken out in April. The percosets came in handy. I had stocked up the mashed potatoes, applesauce, ice cream, sherbet, pudding, and Chunky soups for the days that followed. The doc sewed up the holes with the stitches that dissolve so I didn't have any socket problem.
