so i just had gyno surgery exactly a week ago and today was my first day back in the gym. hit squats 225 for 10 going all the way down nice and easy though to not strain my shit.. also did some light back machine super easy and chest press machine pretty light but enough to feel a little burn. everything turned out fine after the workout so im beginning to think ive healed already. MY QUESTION IS does anyone think I could begin hitting upper body hard again soon?

The surgery only consisted of the doc doing "glandular exicision" . i did not need any lipo or ultrasound or anything like that. he made a small incision under my areolas and removed 4ml i beleve from the left and 9 ml from the right. the doctor also took the stitches out 2 days ago along with the tubes running through my arm pits to remove excess fluid. I am wearing an ace bandage to keep pressure on the area wrapped around my chest and when i went to the gym today i wore a tight under armour stretchy shirt under a tshirt.

Overall everything feels about 90% -- i just really want to hit chest soon but i know i should not rush it. my doc said 2 weeks more but he doesnt know anything about lifting. he said i could start doing arms in a few days but i did those today and my chest is perfect. anyone have any advice? or should i just go with how it feels cause today it felt fine hitting everything light.

I would hold off bro…

I stayed out of the gym 3 weeks and did not work the chest until 4 weeks had passed.. My recovery went excellent. A friend who used the same doc went back 10 days post op and ended up back on the table having a ton of blood drained from both sides. As I understand it the healing tissue is not near as strong in the beginning.. Give it a rest for awhile longer… Make sure your nutrition is spot on so you have what you need to heal.. Then ease back into it…

My 2ml,

so if i work chest you are saying that blood could get rushed to the area and cause a need to get drained?

im just looking for possible side affects to starting a week early especially since my stitches are out and everything looks healed already..

Just have some fuckin patience already man. You just had surgery for gods sake and it wont kill you to actually listen to the doctor and wait a little longer.

It may looked healed bro... Its what u cant see on the inside that may take more time... Dont risk it... a couple more weeks will not hurt ya at all!! BTW.. My Avi is post op!!!

was about 4,000$ not cheap but not horrible as ive heard some forked out 7 grand for theirs. The doc was really good he just took the small bandages off today and everything looks legit. i hit back and bis today pretty easy and everything felt perfect. strength definitely not back and ive lost 10 pounds but whatever. at least my chest looks freakin amazing now.

i wanna hit upper chest tomorrow light. the doc said to wait another 6 days to light bench but it feels good and i dont think a light 4 sets would hurt :)
