Just got DVR yesterday..... Welcome

to the 21st century DG, lol. Finally, been wanting it for awhile.

So far I love it ..... pausing TV, recording shows, very cool. There are several shows I forget to watch and some on too late for me ..... gonna love recording them!

I already dig it. Pausing TV is too cool. I do love TV - certain things. I am very into *my* shows, but the rest of TV is passable.

Yeah, it's great. I do hate when I set a recording and it's already scheduled for something else and it doesn't record either or something like that.

They do have models that can recorde two HD shows at the same time. Nice. The one I have came with the cable company, though.

You can get a dual tuner DVR thru the cable company......

hmmmmm... Sounds good. Mine is an HD model. Wonder if they come that way too. I've seen the ones in the stores which advertise that but didn't know the cable company would offer it as well. I lease mine btw, so I doubt they'd give me a new one for the same price. I don't mind paying a little more per month for one though. thanks.

Well if the show is broadcast in HD & you have a HD tv AND you set up the DVR to record the HD show on the HD channel --> then yes, it will record in HD.....plus it's a dual tuner DVR.....

Only thing I cannot figure out now is how to start recording a show that is already in progress. Is that possible? Sometimes I start watching a show, but have to leave (or fall asleep, lol) and want to be able to start recording mid-show. I need to whip out the manual .......
