Just a heads up!

Hey guys, been seeing alot of posts lately about arimidex in comparison to nolvadex, and which is better to use on aromatizing cycles, where estrogen could be a problem. Arimidex is a great product, it will stop conversion of testosterone to estrogen, thus eliminating gyno and water retention. However, arimidex is not a cure all, and it is hard to tell how much aromatization is being avoided. Even if a small amount of test aromatizes into estrogen, gyno can be a problem. Arimidex will do nothing to block the ER, but nolvadex will. Nolvadex is a direct ER agonist in the breast tissue, and will block estrogen from attaching to the breast tissue. The difference between arimidex and nolvadex, is that nolvadex is the only drug out of the two that will directly stop gyno, arimidex stops it indirectly. Ok, there is a point to my incoherent babble. While arimidex is great, it is optional, nolvadex is mandatory if gyno is a problem. My advice always have nolvadex on hand, whether using arimidex or not.

...so would you say Nolvadex is best for fighting gyno and Arimidex is best for fighting water weight?

No, I am not saying that at all. While arimidex and nolvadex are both classified as anti-estrogens, they work very differently.

Both will help with gyno and water retention.

Arimidex will help indirectly by stopping aromatization.
Nolvadex will help directly by blocking ER receptors.

ditto Alpine...which to keep water of better?

Ok, when people use arimidex, they usually don't need nolvadex. Arimidex is very good at stopping estrogen related gyno and water retention.
On the other hand, it won't hurt to have nolvadex on hand in case of itchy nips, for those who are very prone.

Thanks Nimrod! You addressed my question without me even having to ask it. The reason I was curious is because I'm about to get into a Test Cyp/Eq cutting cycle and I was curious if I actually NEEDED Arimidex for the water from the test. I already have plenty of Nolvadex and I didn't want to spend any extra cash. Thanks for the info. :fro:

Hold it Alpine,

Arimidex is the only one u should run your entire cycle. Nolvadex should only be used if needed, as it will limit IGF-1 production.

Damn! I guess I should grab some Arimidex. Ya know a good price for it? I obviously have never used it and just wanted and idea of $ I was looking at spending.

Hey Nimrod! (God I like saying that for some reason) But really, thanks for letting me pick your brain for a minute. I appreciate the help bro. :D

No problem Bro.
That's why I'm here.

The active ingredient in both is anastozole, so no real difference. However, liquidex is 4g/ml, so getting the right dose can be tricky.
