Here's hoping for the more knowledgable to bestow their wisdoms.

Over the past 6 years, as I have become more involved with competetive tennis, my training has changed dramatically from my heavy-lifting high school rugby days; I have traded most of my muscle mass for quickness and quality (down 20 lbs now at 6'2 190). I have researched aas since those high school days and am now, at 23, planning to begin my first cycle.
In that my training routine is different (primarily light weight and bodyweight training, medicine ball work, calesthenics, and stretching) and that my needs are slightly different (heavy focus on speed and stamina), my intention is to gain minimal weight (no more than 10-15 lbs) while maximixing the potential of my current frame.
I have thought of Deca as a primary and considered several accompaniments, but I am concerned about the heavy water retention of testosterones and,again, stress that my primary focus is muscle quality and athletic edge over weight gain or strength.
Before I go into further specifics, I hope that someone with a knowledge of steroid use for sport other than bodybuilding or powerlifting may have some helpful advice.

1) instead of deca, consider NPP (nandrolone phenlyproprionate sp?) which is just fast deca. less water retention, and faster in & out of your system. will start seeing results in a week instead of a month. downside is more expensive.


2) anavar is an obvious choice. great strength, no water, low sides, promotes lean lean mass.

i am considering 1600mg of deca over 50 days. and, as i said, considered adding a second drug for supplementation.

i know that this is covered over and over again on the board, but considering my specialized training and needs, would running just one drug maybe serve me better than stacking?

also, what might be comparable dosage for seeking said results as far as anavar goes?
keeping price in mind (not the biggest deal, but still a factor), what are my affordable stacking or solo options?

I am also a tennis pro so i have the same goals as you. Deca makes you hold a lot of water. Lugging around all that weight on a tenning court is not a good idea in my opinion and it really slows you down. I remember when i was younger I injured my achiles tendon playing tennis and I gained 20 lbs of fat. When I tried to play it was rediculous how slow and out of shape I was. I believe that water weirght will have a similar effect although it will be only while on cycle. If you can live with it then go for it. But 1500mg a week of deca is insane. You might wanna just try 300mg. A buddy of mine did a first cycle like this and gained 10lbs of gains he has kept. He did however have about an extra 8 lbs of water at one point. He did not have any of the typical sides that guys on here usually get at a 600mg dose such as deca dick, gyno from progesterone, etc. he said all he had was a little acne, not bad at all and thats the only side. I believe when athletes such as tenning players and runners take gear they usually take low dose deca 80mg or anavar. I am on my first cycle right now which is Anavar 30mg every day for 7 weeks. I am hoping to gain and keep at least 8lbs of quality muscle. I am only 175 lbs so this is why I am taking 30mg. Many people take 40-45.
 
Like geoboy said, Without doubt drop the Deca for NPP. I would stick with Anavar and NPP as you gear choices.

Go for the EQ. Its effect on EPO are godsend for endurance atheletes.

Hell, why not just take strait EPO? (Not serious about this, it's quite dangerous lol)
 
what about the low dosage deca cycle for athletes such as tennis players mentioned above. any more input? i assume that the lower dosage would mean a longer cycle but would aromatization then become an issue even if the dosage was lower?

to be honest i'm not particularly excited about shots injections eod for EQ.
and despite what i mentioned above, price could become an issue when it comes to anavar, unless a low dosage period of that along with something like deca might be worth a go.

btw. when i write 1500mg over 50 days, i mean to say 200-250mg a week for 50 days (just under 8 weeks).
 
EQ does not need EOD injections. Actually EQ has a longer half-life then even Deca, it probably has one of the longest half-lifes of any of the drugs. Actually aromatization increases the more you do. Aromatization is based on dose, while gains are based on response. Thus if you double your deca your gains don't double, but the aromatization will.(if not more then double) So a lower dose for longer will actually decreasing the amount of aromatization.

what of system suppresion and such, lower dosage or longer period have any big effect?

and what sort of dosage of eq might you reccomend?
with or without deca in relatively small amounts?
would that possibly be better way to avoid the complications of extended use of one drug?

i would run as minimal test as possible, between 100-200mg test a week, then reap the benefits of eq by taking around 500mg a week. take the test so as to provide test for the body once the hpta is shut down, and make recovery easy. the dose of eq for your goals. currently i am taking 600mg test with 600mg eq a week. every cycle i have ever had since my first cycle has had eq for the reason that i beleive it is the best for my to acheive my goals with. hunger is up so you can bulk with it, yet it is easy to cut with as well. strength gains and size gains FROM it are pretty much permanent. at the level of test i recommended (100-200mg a week) you will not need anti-e's (correct me if i am wrong you vets, you certainly know this stuff better than myself) and you will have gains that are extremely easy to keep, along with easy to keep strength gains, even with a minimalist attitude towards your pct.
i would not suggest deca due to the water weight. i am very responsive to low doses myself, took 200mg of deca a week by itself and can most defintely say i had a decent amount of water weight.
all you would probably need to take with the test amounts, if you are sensitive like myself would be an over-the-counter diuretic such as uva ursi leaves or dandelion root, with myself favoring the uva ursi leaves
 
Ha ha.. I never would have admitted I played competitive tennis on here. Now that someone else has.. fuck it... I play tennis damnit... that felt good!
I would run low dose test and EQ. 250mgs ew of each for ten weeks. HCG during and clomid after.
NNP intrigues me... never used it though. Deca made me bloat like a pig...

so EQ seems to be the most recommended for my goals and limitations so far. even though im a bit sceptical of test i would consider it to counteract hpta shutdown, but only in a minimal dose and preferably not throughout.

what about supplementing test toward the end of the cycle for this purpose; it goes against what i understand to load test at the end of a cycle, but who knows...not me.

and...more about npp. i'm very interested, but am having a hard time finding as much info as i'd like.
