well i figured i read enough of other peoples logs i should prob do one lol.

stats
age 28

height 5'9

weight 165lbs

bf %10.5 %


***my goals have been for the last 4 months to get down to about 8% bodyfat (originally i wanted 6% but figured i should throw in a bulking phase after i hit 8% and then cut again) i have always lifted and gone to the gym regularly since i was 18, but just started doing things the right way recently (diet, training etc.)

i started 4 months ago at 178lbs and 15.5% bf....i have def improved and i have alot of you guys to thank for that....however i want to improve more!!

i'll have to post some pics of me the and now... all though i am very self conscious b/c i know most of you look ALOT better. but i'll park the pride aside and get to it...

here is what my diet looks like today

meal 1
- 2 scoops mhp probolic shake
-1/2 cup of oats
-1 fish oil cap
-1 glucorell
-1multi
-2 green tea

meal 2
- 2 cups of lana's eggwhites

(forgot my whole wheat bread this morning dang!!)

here is how the rest of the day is planned out

meal 3
-99% fat free ground turkey chili w/ whole wheat pasta
-2 glucorell
-2 green tea

meal 4
-1 can of tuna

pwo
1 tablespoon anpb

workout

i'll post late on tonight

pwo
- 2 scoops mhp probolic shake w/ strawberries and bluberries

meal 5
-6 oz of grilled chicken salad
-1 can of green beans or frozen spinach

meal 6
-1-2 tablespoons of anpb


macros roughly look like this today 2200cals 250p/100c/40f

besides pwo shake i'll try not to consume carbs after i 7pm...just veggies at dinner and what's in the anpb

here is the back...this was taken a few months ago...bascially the same...minus a little size but a little more striated on the upper shoulders

as fas as the wheels go...they absolutely suck. i lift light b/c i have torn my acl, mcl, lateral and medial miniscus in my left knee (4 surgies don't feel like having another one done haha)....no lifty heavy no more for jp. my cardio has been walking at 3.0 on a 15% incline = good leg workout. i throw some squats and leg presses in there a few times a week but nothing crazy....i will have to live with poor legs i guess...

that is my woman's responsibility i tried making the bed before..she banned me from ever doing it again...i have no problem with that lol...i pay the mortgage, bills, cook and provide transportation....she makes the bed lol. not a bad deal right?? although i help with the cleaning sometimes :eek2:
 
6:15 starting time

5g of creatine mixed in a glass of gatorade right before i lifted

incline hammer strength
-2x12 2 plates each side (did a few negatives on the second set)

dips-2x14 no weight added...shoulders started hurting so i stopped both times at 14...prob should hae done flyes or something but whatever

weighted pull ups
-first set w/ 25lb dumbell.. let dumbell go at 8 on the first set then got 3 more
-second set w/25lb dumbell... let dumbell go at 6 and then got 2 more

***i only rested about 1 minute,..maybe 1 1/2 tops that's pretty much fro all my sets....no more then 1 1/2 minute rest
front military presses
-1x14 (was only trying for 12) 125lbs

side laterals
1x15 30lb dumbells....(again only trying for 12...don't think i can up the weight really b/c i feel i'll start to cheat at like 8...slow and controlled is fine with me)

standing military behind the neck
1x 12 70lbs did these nice and slow and really felt my rear delts working hard! i usually do not do these but my shoulders felt ok for this one and plus i didn't feel like using dumbells for for rear delts

dumbell shrugs
1x15 80lbs dumbells at the side....neck bent slightly fwrd so i can try and bring my traps to my ears :) held each contraction for about 1-2 seconds

hammer curls
2x12 45lbs was too easy....but again i don't want to cheat so i'll prob either do these sitting down next time or go slower w/ mor negatives

lying tricep extensions
2x12 80lbs.....nothing to really add...was just eeeehhh....wed i'll do dips on the benches with a plate on my lap

10 minutes treadmill 15% incline 2.5mph

ended at 7:15

pwo mhp shake w/blueberries and strawberries 5/g og creatine

i'll do this mon/wed/fri with some variations except for pullups. i'll prob throw in some light squats on wed....

overall decent workout...not my best...or my worst...feeling ok about looking in the mirror tonight...tomorrow mornign is a different story

time to cook some meals :Chef:

-hopefully my amp02 has come in the mail today so i can try...if not i'll take 5g of creatine

-45 minutes tradmill 15% incline at 2.5mph....i'll prob up to 3.0 a few times but it's freaking torture :evil:
post cardio 5g of creatine mixed in with mhp shake (no fruit in the shake after cardio....or should i?)

meal 5
-i'll prob make some chiken with a little garlic powder, onion powder and cayeene pepper on the forman with a salad.

meal 6
-i'll prob go for 2 scoops of anpb and then2o minutes later go in for the 3rd scoops....YIKES!!! :rolleyes: i can't control myself...i sware it's like a treat...i think i need to start eating something more plain before bed :Chef:
 
jpt, hurl that PB OUT the back door .. far .. I have a lake so it's all good ... it's like crack .. it calls too you in the night


I really suggest having the women feed you & hide the jar or find another source .. 3 scoops turns into 3 spatula's :) ;)

Then a jar ... or two ... :) Walnuts? Almonds?

or ya can start downing more fish oil ... Yummy :)

i honestly believe this has been severely hindering my progress tha anpb before bed...i'm going to have alter this in my diet

was thinking about eating like 4 whole eggs before bed....we'll see :Chef:

I Re-read post #1 and kinda giggled b/c we are the same height & weight Right now :) I'll be 28 next month :) lol

ALSO is the anpb POST workout? in the 1st post? If so, no fat post workout ...

If you want carbs post workout, that's the time to have them IMO ... You will get mixed views, opionions, studies ... you know the drill, try it both ways, which do you like better & stick with that :)

nah...i have anbp before bed.....i didn't have anything else to eat before the gym yesterday so i had a scoop...pre-workout. i never have fat after the gym....i hae my shake...and on lifting days i'll throw in berries for some simple carbs and sugars ;)

my b-day is 9/6 i'm a virgo :chomp:

How long have you been training? I mean when was your initial interest in weight training... Tell us about your past experience with diets and junk ;)

well i started working out in highschool...i was skin and bones :(...i mean i looked like and ethiopian or something :p

i think when i graduated i weighed 150lbs. i used to get picked on and stuff (mainly b/c i was extremely skinny) ... it bothered me more thne i think it bothered most kids so i got my a$$ to the gym and started lifitng. then... when i got to college i started really lifting seriously....i saw this article in flex about ironcurtain labs training program (this is just when the worlds strongest man started becoming big...or should i say more publicaly recognized) ...so i ordered the supps and the routine and 6 months later i weighed 170lbs. it was a powerlifitng routine...

then junior year of college my girlfriend of 4 years decided this long distance thing wasn't working out...so i got pretty depressed and decided to try steroids. went into this blind and started some deca and dbol...i think i had a 12 week cycle...in my second week of the cycle my mother found the stuff and thought it was heroine....lol. i told her it was just steroids...she felt slightly better. but after she threw them out :mad: i realized it was the right thing...and never touched the stuff again.

at 22 injuries started (torn mcl, acl, lateral miniscus, medial miniscus, 2 torn labrums, and degenerative disks in my lower back) i have horrible genetics...def the worst out of all my friends :(

to be honest i never really had to worry about nutrition when i was powerlifitng....i didn't eat junk food, but i ate alot of steak and potatos and alot of chciken and pasta and was in pretty good shape......i played tennis and basketball pretty much everyday ...i guess that's why :chomp:

i wasn't very knowledgeable about nutrition then...i just thought if i keep eating i'll get bigger....it worked, but then i had to keep taking time off for my injuries....like 6 months at a time. so that's why i joined the board....i have to learn how to lift smarter not heavier :)

i've learned a great deal and have many of you to thank....esp the logs and journals people keep on here. hopefully some can read mine and benefit in some way....maybe i can try and help someone that is in a similar situation ...who knows. it's a good stress relief if anything :)

i guess that's my story....

Believe me it's really not that bad.. I usually just drink a diet coke with lime... it's my fault if i don't get there...i knew yesterday he was coming and didn't set my alarm earlier for this morning....although my gym opens up at 5:30am and i need to be at work by 7:15am...really not enough time to train, shower, eat, get ready and commute to work..anwyay

yes i got the plat version in omega's sig. the dosage is 10 caps but i think that is a bit much...maybe i'll just wait until friday to use it ....i've been loading with reg creatine to prepare me for it. 5g before and 5g after workout

only 2 caps huh? considering we're basically the same person... age, height, wieght lol...maybe i should only take like 2 at first????

Personally I'd do 5 with FOOD pre workout...and not with alot of sugars.

Could be just me though...my natty slin is weird/crazy. Gluc-R is a miracle for me...otherwise i'd be a real fatty, lol.

I took 10 caps with honey preworkout my first time round... i was geeked outa my mind bro... that's what i meant about doing cardio til' sunrise.

It never hurts to ease into anything... unless your getting ran over... all at once would be my preference (no idea where that came from, lol).

Then again I don't crave alcohol... if peanut butter, chocolate, pita bread, chips and salsa, or cheese were in fornt of me.. It would be ALLLL over!

not to worried about the drinking...just not really crazy about the people i'm goign with so it's not like i'll be missing out on alot of fun lol. actually...that would make me want to drink more :chomp:

jpt, no joke... Sarge was up doing cardio at 5am .. that is a sin for him .. I thought I was dreaming & not reading his wording correct ... while LMFAO :D lol ;) cuz i HATE that feeling of being WIIIIIIIRRRRRED ... but I agree on the 5 .. I have a friend that uses 5 on empty in the AM and he is 6'4 220 ... hasn't upped dose yet. Definitely subjective, I would start low ... :) $.02

Well getting up at 4 am wasn't the Amp02... that's another story ... it powered my 5am arch trainer marathon that morning though, lol.

yeah...i'll proba start low and up the dosage....i abosolutely hate feeling wired and weird and my heart pumping out of my chest....been there done that. your friend takes on an empty stomach huh? i'll prob eat at like 4.....take at like 5:45....gym 6:15...sound ok to you guys? ;)

You calling me old?? :evil: You try the amp? How you do with the PB?

I'm sure you could do 30 min. on the tread or similar if your goal was to get your cardiovascular endurance up, which I think is good for everyone that can handle it (injuries aside). :) I will run a marathon one day :)

didn't really feel a surge or increase in body temp or increase in sweating....i did notice after my workout a great pump...my whole body was shaking doing rope crunches...i actually had to cut the workout short on abs b/c of the pump :coffee: . it's 8:13 and i still feel a pump but not hyper or anything like that. i think my next time lifitng i'll up the dose to 6 and continue that way until i get to 10....so far i'm a fan but i'll have to give it time to better critique

Yes I do...
1 ice cube tray
mixing bowl
splenda
cinnamon (if you like)
1 jar ANPB
Mix all up take 1T full and drop in each holder. Then throw in freezer. I noticed some kinds freeze better then other's. The $5.59 or so jar freezes better then the $2.-- jar. Probably less preservatives... Not to sure..
So it usually well get nice and hard by day 3 or 4 and then you just crack them out like ice cubes..
If you can't control yourself on that tip the jar over and freeze the whole jar. You'll get pissed 'cuz you won't be hardly chiseling any off and throw it back in...
Kinda of a mind game I suppose ;)

based on your body weight 8 caps should be impressive
10 caps would be the high end

hey tre....amp02 pre cardio...hmmm...not really sure how i felt. i don't think it helped too much...but i only took 6 so...maybe if i take 8-10?? i may just hold off and just use them for when i lift... i guess i'll have to try it again...

didn't use them this morning for my cardio ...30 minutes on treadmill 15% incline @3mph on an empty stomach.....i'm exhausted....especially after my late night in the city... :beer: i was def a bad boy last night :rolleyes: do i even mention a late night trip to micky d's? :evil: uuuggghh....double 1/4 punder w/ cheese at 3am....when i got home i felt so guilty i did 2 minutes of drunken jump ropes and drunken crunches lol...whatever...we all have to live and enjoy life right? my gym is in my building so i'm going for round 2 cardio around 4pm....prob same as this morning (i need to burn off that freaking 1/4 pounder)

Personally I would save the AMP for your weight sessions, and use CB before your a.m. cardio sessions. I think you may save more money that way and get more of a benefit from your supps that you are looking for.

Drunken work-outs?!?! :velvett: No need to do that... Drink lots of water get your head back on straight and then do your work-out's... You are already in a dehydrated state from the alcohol and working out is only going to make your dehydration levels worse.

Just a quick skim at your supplements.... Are you taking a multi?? I did not see it listed.

Maybe I'm having an 'old' blonde moment (back to red now) Is your goal to lose weight, or gain muscle, or trying to do both at the current time? Are you planning a cheat meal opn the weekends? If so then your 'cheat' meal shouldn't be overcome by accessive cardio the next day and guilt.

i'm taking my time with my diet as there is no real rush for me to get down to my goal of 8%. i want to do it smartly and not give up alot of size to get there.....i have lost about 4.5% bf in 4 months. i'm def a little smaller but i have the appearence of actually being a little bigger ;) my friend the other day asked me if i was putting on some weight...once i get to 8% i'm going to bulk for about 6 weeks and then try and get to 7% and yes i take a multi :)

but it doesn't really matter b/c it fits into my macros...the 3 meatballs i ate are about 550 cals from my analysis on fitday.com and labels. 58g protein 21g of fat 8g of carbs roughly i'll be at the high end of my macros (try to keep btwn 1900-2100) but it's all good.

double 1/4 pounder with cheese:
730cals 360fat cals 40g of fat 47gprotein 46gcarbs

Not very....leave it out & use some other veggies instead - like snow peas, red cabbage if you like it, extra broccoli, bell peppers, onions, etc etc
 
workout yesterday was ok.....intensity was so so......maybe just bc it was monday...not sure :rolleyes:

5:45 took 7 caps amp02 once again didn't feel like a real surge of energy or crazy concentration but after i was done i felt my whole body shaking and pumped for a while. i'm going to up my dose to 8 caps tomorrow :)

it will last you a month at that dose easy.

i do everybody part 3x a week mon/wed/fri just started doing this about 5 weeks ago and i honestly don't think i'll ever go back to doing a reg chest/back day or anything like that....i'm seeing pretty decent results even though my weights are light and reps are kept usually btwn 10-15. i'm very happy with the routine i have...for now anyway.

i usually do rear delts once a week....sometimes twice.

Gave blood.. and can't bend it
Try doing reverese pec dec, or reverse flyes after a pushing movement.. it helps to stretch the front of the shoulder and strengthen the back of it. Typical shoulder instability issue... If you like.. my 2 cents..
