jose canseco claims

I saw him on Jim Rome's show last night...he once again just avoided the question when he was asked if he had ever personally used steroids, saying that everything would be covered in his book. He also said that his reason for writing the book is because he doesn't want any other athlete to have to go through what he had to go through.

Do you think it's a coincidence that Jose waited until he retired to make these statements. I mean he never juiced or anything right. I'm sure his claims of 85% are not too far off, but I don't like the fact that he waits until he's done playing then goes and burns everyone else. Golden Rule- Whatever happens in the clubhouse or on the road stays in the club house period!!

Very well said brother!

well evidently the league has blackballed him, Im sure he is still in good enough shape, he had a good test bloat going on jim rome's show, and you think he could dh for someone, but evidently someone that is calling the shots doesnt want to see him make it to the 500 mark in homers, cause I know he could easily hit the 37 homers he needs in two years......hell I think he should be in the hall of fame, he is the only player to ever hit 40 homers and steal 40 bases in the same year....nobody has ever done that....................yeah if anyone has any input as to why he was blackballed from baseball I would like to hear some info.............and as far as that golden rule shit you are talking about, the so-called what happens in the clubhouse and on the road stays there.........well rules and codes are meant to be broken, and I think its a good thing he is going to expose baseball
and the shit that really goes on........Im sure there have been tons of players and decision makers that have tried to make him look bad, now for once somebody can speak their mind and let the world know how drug infested pro sports really are.......its called free speech, and freedom to press, and the ability to monetarily capatilize off of the book, if they kicked him out of the league, he can still make money off baseball, cause he is Jose Canseco.............hell I will buy the book or get it somehow just to read the steroid issues!!!!!!!

If anyone caught "On the Record" on HBO w/ Costas the dude they were interviewing was saying how he has personally helped MLB players improve there game w/ Juice as he chuckled...They do juice i had a friend wh played pro for a year and he said its insane how some guys get away with it b/c there is no testing....Oh well

So basically McWire took something else than Andro ? lol Anyway, the on eI really suspect to be juicing is Sammy Sosa..... and Canseco himself...

bro mark mcguire's favorite thing was steroids, why do you think after that reporter exposed him using andro, the next year he fell to injury and didnt do jack and had to retire, some of these older players use juice to play and keep injury free......bro I hope you were being sarcastic about McGuire not using roids, cause we all know the truth!!!!!!! He used it all!!!!!

There have been some pretty ridiculous and unfounded statements made on this post. I'm not going to say that MLB players do not juice, but I don't believe that it is as bad as people make it out to be. People aren't hitting 70 homers a year because of juice...they are hitting 70 homers a year because they are bigger, faster and stronger than athletes were 40 years ago. That does not necessarily mean they are taking roids. Technology and science have advanced drastically in the past 40 years and this can be accreditted for most of it. Players didn't even lift weights or condition themselves in the 60s. You think Mantle or Maris were pumping iron in the off-season? Players today have the benefit of knowledge about dieting and stength conditioning as well as better equipment/bats. I'm sure some players do use gear, but I'm sick of people accusing every player of juicing, just because he can go deep 50+ times a year. I guess Tiger Woods juices too because he is breaking all of the golf records. As far as the "rules are made to be broken" comment concerning code and ethics in baseball, that is reason enough right there to not allow Canseco in the HOF. Rules are not made to be broken...rules are made for a reason. Society would be in deep trouble if everyone had the same philosophy as you did CN1. We need codes and rules to live by and by breaking these codes, whether it be in baseball or the US Army, you dishonor yourself and everyone around you. Granted, there are many who believe in the whole "rules are made to be broken" creed...they live in Afghanistan. Records are made to be broken, my friend, not rules.

Okie, you think it's unfounded to say that Steroids play a big part in the Pro Sports world... I disagree.

Quote by Okie: Records are made to be broken, my friend, not rules.

Tell that to Rosa Parks and Thomas Jefferson.
