I don't want to take over B's thread so I am making this one bro. How are your lifts coming??? any crazy goal coming up ect... Any new excercises I should try or you might be keeping secret so you can kick my ass this year ;)

BTW how's the family going bro?
 
They're goin' really well. My toe is pretty much healed and I got some advice frm B-Fold on some other health issues I've been dealing with, which seem to really be helping.:)

Nothin' really big on the horizon right now. Really focusing on my OHP, ham and glute strength and event training.
The only "new" move that has really made an impact for me is OHP rack lockouts. Upper arms parallel to the floor to start, and I do them seated with no back support. Really been helping my tri strength which is evident in my OHP numbers.

I went for a 525lbs PR on deadlift last week, and missed it.:( Stopped at my shins, and just couldn't seem to get in the groove the whole workout. I know I shoulda had it. Time to relook at my plan and readjust....:) I'll go at it again in a couple weeks....:)

Family is great! Thanks for asking.:) Kid is huge....Gonna have to get him a power cage here soon.....

Hows the training for you? You're lookin' damn scary in those vids fropm T3C. I think you need to stay in the 200's.....:D Either that, or I'll need to get to the 250's.....:D

I just looked at the pic-boy he knows how to swain. remember to just add a little every now and then to the diaper :mix:

The deadlift- you'll get it soon, I'd rather do gm's for deadlift anyways then keep working on it, try some rack deads though for lockout.

Nice it seems everyone is doing rack louckouts :) , I unfortunaltely don't have access to a cage yet :(

my training, about medium weight but working on perfect form, about 2 months a year I work on just from, my foot speed is increasing and so is my vertical, got rim the other day :fro:

but other than that I have analyze my weaknesses and going back to 5x5 except squats and slowly upping the weight. I have few ideas for events that I will try, i'll definitely report on that, still working out the theory behind it though
 
Damn! I don't think I can hit the rim myself. That's a damn good vertical. :)

I rotate rack deads in every three weeks. GM's and ATF Squats are also rotated in as primary moves. My carry-over from rack deads to full ROM is abnout a 65lbs difference. My last rack dead was several weeks ago at 585. I figure I am good for 600 now, so I was certain I had the full ROM of 525. I really wasn't "feeling it" though....If I had been smart, I wouldn't have gone for it that day. B-Folds advice I think might be a key element to that, though.


If I didn't have a rack, I would substitute floor presses or board presses for rack lockouts.

That's a great idea about the perfect form. I need to do some more of that myself. (You saw that Bee-yoo-tee-ful snatch video, didn't ya?:D)

I'll be waiting to hear your theory's on event training.:) That's gotta be good......:)

you'll get the 525 when you get into a nice groove, there will always be off days. I like to take some time off and just work on from, I should have done that after bluegrass but I wanted to compete in poughkeepsie and ended up just overtraining, I actually lost strength after the comp. But it is coming back, i just need to make sure I don't peak before I hit some 20-40lbs pr's those.

I got a few decent theories on Tires, Farmers, and Conan's. Still working on the duckwalk and pushpress theory....
 
Yeah, I hate those days.:D But you're right. They happen, and you just have to deal with it. I'll get that 525 in a week or two. Gotta hit 600 before you, ya know....:D

I was down for the count for a few weeks after Bluegrass. Took more out of me than I cared to admit. But, it all comes back after a while. You'll be hittin' those PR's in no time, man.:)


Really lookin' forward to those theory's.:) Keep us posted.
