Joints...., what is best?

Ok everybody here is the problem. Have been training for 13 years now and have never been injured. However, over the last few months my right shoulder has been bothering me. There is slight pain in it when I move certain ways ect, and When I do chest it feels weak. I would like to forgo going to a medical specialist because I do not have Medical Insurance. I have never taken any supplements for joints before so are there any that will truly help? And if so what should the dosage be?

Secondly, my lifting technique is my strongest point. I ALWAYS train in a strict, fluent, motion, using a 2sec pos, 3sed neg cadence. I make sure to eliminate all momentum and jerky movements. Also there was never a point where there was a pop, or a sharp pain to indicate a sudden injury or anything of that nature. It just slowly began to bother me and it won't go away. Also I am a 27 yr old natural bodybuilder..., just FYI. Any advice on how to rectify this problem would be greatly appreciated. And as I said before i will not have Med insurance until after I graduate college in 18 months. Thanks in advance to all those who reply.

I started getting joint pain in my right elbow and a buddy of mine told me to take some fish oil pills. I started taking them daily and the pain went away.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin.

Something you should know about these supplements:
Glucosamine and Chondroitin are two molecules that make up the type of cartilage found within joints. Inside your joints, cartilage undergoes a constant process of breakdown and repair. However, to be properly repaired, the building blocks of cartilage must be present and available.

Also when you do your exercises you may want to try a 3 sec positive and a 3 sec negative till you feel your joints are feeling better. Might help out a touch. If not go back to 2 sec positive and 3 second negative. JMHO.

Yes, from what I have read those are the 2 go to supps. However, what would you think the correct dosages of both should be because supplement companies are notorious for under dosing their products. Do you have a brand or specific product you recommend? Or should I just go with something from Vitamin World / Gnc?

No brand to recommend, but get glucosamine sulfate instead of glucosamine HCI (hydrochloride). HCI is the most common version found in tablets for a reason: it is cheaper to produce. Trouble is, it is not absorbed as readily as sulfate is, so you are not getting all you can. So you can say the HCI is under dosed, in a way.

Sulfate is a little more difficult to find, but well worth the effort. Per my doctors suggestion, I switched to sulfate and noticed a huge difference in about a week.

I buy the sulfate at one of the wholesale clubs and it costs only slightly more than the HCI. I don't know if that holds true for the mail order companies or not. Even if I had to pay 50 % more, I would. It is that much better. All I take is one serving (3 tabs per the label) per day and it works.

For anyone who tells me they tried glucosamine and chondroitin and say they don't work, I have them try the sulfate and they change their mind.

i take a gram of glucosamine, chondroiton and msn a day and have noticed my knee doesnt bother me so much. glucosamine alone didnt do shit for me.

you should really get your shoulder checked out tho mate you dont wanna risk fucking it up good and proper when it could have been avoided by a simple week off..
