I also like back for that. I just dont like the positining. Usually bent over....and im not comofrtable as some people in that position.
But I have a lot of trouble trying to get my last working and less the Inner back. And lower back is fun to do because I love lifting heavy... But I have a bad lower back due to a lot of football and wrestling back in the high school days... Oh well.

. I built the base of my back stickly using rowing movements... SEATED. I shit you not. It's just what I felt really working my lats best. Find a movement that you can really activate them and then DO IT
