They are fine and will be coming home monday. Its was crazy because mom was fine and dad was having major surgery and mom got rushed to the emergency room. I have seen my dad cry 2 times in his life; once was when his dad died and the other was when he was laid up in a bed and didn't know what was wrong with his wife. Thanks guys, they are doing much better and hope they have a speedy recovery.

JB, the stress of each of your parents having to worry about the other can be a big contributor here... aside from their own medical conditions.

Praying for their continued recovery.

I'm glad they're fine bro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, guess now it's time for you to take care of them after them taking care of you all these years. Funny how that happens as we get older isnt it?

That's the way it works, I will be cooking them dinner and mowing their grass, doing laudry etc. Luckily the LDS church takes such good care of their members. They will be bringing meals, helping out as well; they are a good bunch of people and aside from the fact that I am not considered "active"; its a good church with good people, however most churches are.

Johnboy, when my wife went into the hospital... a bunch of the homeless guys she knew from Venice Beach all got together... (she used to bake brownies and bring them down to the guys when I played at the outdoor chess park where a lot of them hung out). They went over to a friend of theirs who had an apartment so they could wash their clothes and take showers... got all cleaned up... rounded up another friend of theirs who had a car... and 7-8 of them came to visit her. They brought her flowers and cookies they made at their friend's apartment.

You're going to be amazed at the depth of caring you see coming towards your parents right now from the people whose lives they've touched. It's a reflection of who your parents are and how they've lived their lives.
