Off topic, but like a million other people I started writing to Mr. Reeves when I was 12, just after his accident. His wife (Christine, I think) would take dictation from him if he was able or had the time to answer personally...otherwise she'd respond with basically a form letter. I received 4 personal responses from Mr. Reeves. When they released his book, which included a compilation of some of the letters they'd received, I snapped it up, and reread it 2x.
I was so excited that he was regaining sensation in his extremities, and could even move his fingers a little. I really shared his conviction that he would regain his mobility eventually. I'm actually still just trying to accept that he actually died.
