Ever since I downloaded Mozilla Firefox I have been having trouble staying signed in at Elite Fitness. Everytime I visit EF, I have to sign in and it is annoying as hell.

What can I do to correct this? This is the only site I am having trouble with. Is it EF or something about Mozilla?

By the way, Mozilla is a great browser and I am glad you refered me to it.

Thanks.:)

You're right, Firefox is a great browser. But I don't have problems staying logged in on Elite, even after I close the browser. I have no idea why, as I have not changed any settings on the browser itself to do so.

firefox is waaaaaaay better than IE(except for some activeX pages and microsoft.com stuff), and there are so many free extensions that increase the functionality of it, i dont know why everyone doesnt use...

Yes. When I come back later and open the browser to this page, I have to type in the password.

EF always logged me in automatically with IE.

Have you tried clearing your cache?

Not only the cache on Firefox, but also on IE

I just did that.

When I downloaded and installed firefox....IE kind of disappeared. Firefox renamed the icons down at the bottom of my monitor that I use for quick access from IE to Firefox.

They just changed the associations when you made IE the primary browser.

Fire up IE again and answer "yes" to making it primary browser... the icons should go back to normal.

I'm taking it that clearing IE's and Firefox's cache didn't fix it?

I haven't done IE's yet.

What...??..?? :)

Security how..?

No ActiveX

Far less shell integration (making it more secure...ref the 2 latest nasty IE exploits)

Open source zealots who react fast to fix exploits

My bag 'o tricks is starting to run dry.

Not sure why you have this prob. I'm running Firefox on 4 computers here at the house...varions versions from 0.somelownumber to 1.0 and haven't had this problem.

It's a great browser. When you download it and install it, it will transfer all of your bookmarks over and info too. I love the speed.

This is the only site that I have trouble logging on to. Other forums remember me. Could it be something with EF?

Click on "Privacy"

Under cookies, click on "view Cookies"

look under elitefitness.com, click on the cookie named "edvbpassword"

look and the bottom and see when it expires - mine is set to 13 Nov 2005

Ahhhhh....

I think we are on to it....

Log it via that method

then close browswer and come back using that link....

I'm guessing it might work?

I closed it and came back and had to log on. It had my username in the space but I still had to type in my password.

I closed it several more times and came back and I stayed logged in. Maybe that worked.
