Yeah... when I was runnign the clubs we used to book alot of these peeps. About 2 months ago my buddy booked Tiesto to come to his club in STL, was amazing shit, but it was hard to be there without rolling like everyone else so I bounced out.
 
last time I went to a techno club was up in Toronto at this place called "Government"... LOL absolutely the funniest time of my life... First off before you even enter you get basically raped by security patting you down, then me n my buddies walked in and realize that 95% of the population in the club was Asian, then we went to order a few brews but got denied cus they only supplied BOTTLED WATER. lol ............

LMAO... sounds more like a 18+ rave club to me...


Lots of techno trance up in rave clubs no doubt, the clubs I am talking about were more upscale private clubs with bottle service, but then had a dance area where they had house DJs playing techno then every month or so they'd book some big name techno DJ....

Anybody flashed a glowstick or some shiat like that, they'd get tossed....

It's all well and good, but it wasn't the crowd they were trying to attract.

Look for DJ's that will mix a CD. Eric Morello, Charles Feelgood, Roger Sanchez, Little Louie Vega are all some of my faves.

Ministry of Sound has good mixes too.

Eh albums.... crap I don't know.

There is like two good songs any one 'album' of techno... all the compilations I have seen that you can buy are all uber pop techno and not the real shit.

All the shit I have ever gotten was a burnt CD of samples from some DJ working a club....

Working out to techno is pretty intense, especially when your hittin the obliques
 
I've listened to a few Tiesto songs now, and I'm not impressed. Sounds more like the after party shit. More trance than house, which is what I prefer.

Tiesto is considered a god in techno circles, they'd prolly cruicify you by ur nuts for talking like that.

They wouldn't be able to focus on my nuts because they'd be busy rolling their eyes all over and giving hand massages with Vick's.

I'm listening to Lethal Industry 2007 right now. It's ok, but none of his stuff really takes off. I could do cardio to it I guess.
