Q. How do you feel about the tour's possibility of starting random off-site drug testing?
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: Oh, I didn't hear anything about that. Random off-site?

Q. Yes.
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: Well, it's news to me. I don't know. I mean, I think that's a bit of an invasion. You know, so, I don't know. Something to think about. I don't know if they're really going to go through with that or not. I guess we'll have to see.

Q. Why do you think it's an invasion?
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: Well, I just don't think they have any right to kind of see what's going on inside your body, whatever, even if you're not doing anything. It's just I've never heard of anything to be concerned about anyways, if anyone for steroids are getting tested for that or getting caught with that. I don't see really what the point would be.

Q. Do you have a sense of how widespread the use of steroids is?
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: No. You mean, like in all sports?

Q. On the tour.
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: I have no idea.

Q. Do you think anybody uses steroids?
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: No.

Q. There's three guys on the ATP Tour who were caught for performance enhancement.
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: Well, the guys is another story.

Q. You think with the women it would be something completely different, where using performance enhancing drugs would really never be tempting or necessary or what?
JENNIFER CAPRIATI: I mean maybe, but it's never happened. Maybe if there is a real question or someone was in question, then I could see the point. But until then, no, I don't think that's something you have to get started, you know, kind of dive into that. It's a whole other issue.

i think her poor language is due to nervousness

i love how guys are more likely to juice up then the girls. the person that beat kornekova had a jawline i;d be proud of,i almost thought she had played a guy in the photo showed of them 2 kissing

I think Capriati takes steroids, she used to be cute many years ago, but now she looks like a man. Oh, and the Williams brothers don't take roids, they are just muscular men that cream all the real women tennis players.

Performance enhancement exists in EVERY sport. It's human nature. Jenn Capriati is a liar.

Especially in sport like tennis. Where's money there's drugs too.

Venus William weighs 169ibs and she looks muscular how many other girls do you see that get up to that sort of weight muscular and aren't using something?? ok 169 isnt huge but for a girl its pretty big

"Where there is money there is drugs"...... that statement is true.

But where there is not money there is also drugs.....i.e., every single National Physique Committee (NPC) show ever!!

LOL...

Jennifer is not the smartest person in tennis world but still she should know better what's deal with drug use in tennis. Usually people do get really stupid AFTER they have failed drug test.

Williams, the top-ranked player in the women's game the and two-time defending Wimbledon champion, said she's not against out-of-competition testing in general but is opposed to no-notice testing.

"I don't think that's a good idea,'' she said. "I think there has to at least be a notice normally. I wouldn't let anyone in my house if I'm not expecting them. Showing up at the door - you kidding?''

"Actually that happened to me once,'' she added. "Someone tried to get in the development, doing a drug test. If I wasn't tested in the next two hours, I wouldn't be playing on tour. You know there's always someone at the gates trying to get in.
Normally I tell the gate, `Tell them Venus moved to Siberia some months ago.''

It was unclear when the episode occurred, whether it was in London or at her residence in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., or whether those who showed up at her house were legitimate drug testers or impostors.

Asked about drugs in tennis, Williams said, "I don't think it's a factor at all.''

anybody who use steroids to aid his tennis performance would be pretty stupid

Richard Krajicek has one of if not the hardest serve in the world and hes lanky as shit.

the speed you can give to a ball that weighs only a few grams with the good mechenics of a racket on the end of your arm is hardly dependant of your muscle mass or strength.

i suppose AS could make you move faster as well in that case it would explain something
