Jared From subway????

Lord_Suston

New member
So I watched this commercial where everyone was praising Jared for losing weight and eating at subway. Do people really believe that Jared is a heo or something special because he lost 100+lbs???? is it me or is this just absurd. ... If losing weight is such an accomplishment, shouldn't gaining weight be the same as sin, or betrayal??? I mean come on where were people when he gained this weight???
How can they be proud of a guy who lost this weight, he had to gain it in the first place... It's like congradulating a drug addict for going clean, WTF , they had to became a junky in the first place and now they are clean, do people forget that much so quickly or is they are just that brainless???? It's not like he had a thyroid problem or anything, he was just a fat bastard who like to eat like shit.... Please WILL SOMEONE EXPLAIN THIS PHENONMENA TO ME???????

It is a marketing gimmick for the millions of lard asses out there so that they wil go out and eat subway in hopes of losing weight also. It has become old and I for one can't wait for jared to lose control and become a total fat ass slob once again. Plus if you look at him all he is now is a skinny fat person.

I hope he gets huge too, but just can't understand why this gimmick works??? do people really belive that load of shit???? it just baffles me on the stupidity of people....

I hate that guy...almost as much as vin diesel. I dont see why every girl is in love with that idiot, he is not big at all...yet everyone talks about how he is huge or something. As for jared, well he was a big fat ass, now he is just a "skinny fat guy"...he isnt in good shape or anything.

Losing 250 lbs IS a big accomplishment... but why let yourself get that big to begin with? He should be proud of himself. And the Marketing department at Subway should be getting major props. Roughly 65% of the USA is overweight, so that means fit people are the minority, and ads like that series of Jared ads work wonders for roping in big people to eat there.

BTW, did you guys see the "Jared has Aides" episode of South Park... it was fuckin hilarious. And those songs that played whenever he came out... "Still lookin good...." LoL!

but why put this guy on a pedestal for losing weight, what about people who are fit all the time???? Losing that was considered by most a great feat, but why though, is losing that weight really that hard??? For most people (excluding those with medical problems) it is not hard to lose weight if you really want to; cut calories and excercise moderately and over time you can lose weight... why is that such an impossible task????

Well, I respect the guy, but enough is enough. Yeah he did have a problem and he beat it. Great for him. He's making money so I can't hate. You'd do the same shit too if you were getting paid. I think it's a lot easier for us to gain weight rather than losing.

Pure, I lost over 30lbs this summer and about 20 of it was fat, and honestly it wasn't that hard.... I don't begrudge Jared he is making $ for some hard work. I guess I really just mortified that the genral public has made him a star.... For losing weight... what happened to him gaining weight did they forget or is that just short term memory loss???? And what was his problem??? being big, most people know when thay are overweight... I'm just wondering were being obese is a general disease, like they had no choice to eat at mickey D's everyday or scarf down those dozen donuts with half&half.... Why is when they "recover" you know lose weight it is a celebration, but gaining fat is not feared, but accepted as having a "disease"

hes probabaly gay too

who are you??? what does being gay have to do with anything??? Are just another ignorant asshole who just interupts with inane phrases in hoping someone will debase themselves by acknowledging your presence and sinking even lower to condone your statements???? Don't answer your previous comment makes it very apparent.....

Lord Suston if these are the things that you are thinking about then you have entirely too much time on your hands.

i think its cause most fat slobs like that never change, and they just stink and get in the way, and they always mess shit up on the shelves at work, and dont put it back. hes one fat slob that changed so everyone is like holy shit bro, you use to be a fat slob
huh, stupid ass is probabaly one of the fat slobs who knocked shit off the shelves at my store.

I know but I work on a cardiac ward, and had a convesation with a man who weighed over 300lbs easy and he was saying if Jared could do so could he.... I didn't discourage him at all and I hope he get's better, but why didn't someone say anything in the first place.... It is very horrible to see them crack open someone's sternum and the stuff they drain from people's arteries looks like caulking material, then they put over 100 stickes and staples in them and hope for them not to have to come back in for opening this would for the next month.... It just made think why do people idiolize Jared....

I don't know how people fall for the commercials myself. I do not see how anyone could lose weight on a diet of all that bread and crap. They would have to go from a diet of a lard ass to maybe one 12" sub split into 3 meals and that will only work if they are a LARGE guy. I think subway should have to put a disclaimer of something in their commercials.

if you want to send me negative karma

sign your name, its not like I'm gonna come after you and harass, just explain yourself and don't send the same message 4 times...
It's fine to disagree but the karma without a name bullshit has got to go it's annoying....

Hey Star I think they put in small writing that Jared was ona calorie restricted diet and had an excercise routine.... I don't know how anyone could eat that little as well........

The reason why so many people like it(And hence what
makes it attractive to fat people like jared(before))
is that its technically fast-food and convenient.
The massive majority of people do not want to spend 1-2
hrs/day cooking food, or making it.
Also, its easy to follow.
Just think about it: Diet A: 4 subs/day
Diet B: 4 breasts,3cups rice,6 fruit,8 bread blah, blah
blah......and it goes on.
To you and me, this is simple nutrition. To the large majority
of people its gibberish.

Maybe his target audience is thinking eating at Subway is equivalent or cheaper (???) than having gastric bypass surgery. There are lots of people that need to lose 100+ lbs.

well, people make mistakes and bad judgments all the time, it is part of what makes us human. however, not too many people have the desire and motivation to correct their mistakes. Jared is one of those who did, so more kudos for him. sure, losing weight is not rocket science, but how many obese people do you know who actually lose 100+ lbs? probably not too many.

oh, and i'm sure that he took quite a bit of abuse (as in name calling, dirty and degrading lokks etc) while he was overweight. so he deserves some kindness now.
