japanese torture methods....

watched a movie last night about war prisoners... it showed the japs torturing them by wrapping a log in barb wire and making them kneel. Placing the wrapped stick on top of their calves. As long as they remained upright, they were fine, but if they tried to relax or sit down some the barbwire dug into them.

Then were was a thing they did where they tied the victim up spread eagle on the ground. He seemed to be ok, but then when it rained, he was in all kind of pain. I couldn't figure that out.

Beat the shit out of him.

I believe one way of torture was the water droplet method. A droplet of water would continously drip on a person's face or something to that effect. It would eventually drive the person crazy to the point of lunacy.

I know one thing they used to do was tie someone, limbs spread out, suspended above the ground. They would plant bamboo stalks beneath their spinal cord and leave them there, feeding them enough to keep them alive. The bamboo grows quickly, so it would grow over the course of a week or two, right through their bodies. Imapled 'em.

Samurai were also known to boil prisoners of war alive, as well as slice people into pieces. They saw defeat as a sign of weakness. It was better to die with honor, than live with shame. That being so, they saw those who surrendered as unworthy of compassion or sympathy, and looked upon them with the utmost contempt.

Supposedly, some would have their eyelids sliced off, as well.

when it rains the water tightens/shortens the rope up and pulls on the joints.. not fun

I heard it(the water drops) would eventually beat through the skin, bone and then it would kill them by hitting the brain.

Curling, it wouldn't break through the bone.

wutang had it right - drove the victim mad.

And no one deserves to be nuked. That has such an adverse effect on the people who try and live in that location thereafter. I wish we hadn't ever acquired the ability to make nuclear weapons. Where'd the good old days of tench warfare, howitzers and snipers go? ;_;

Where did the good old days of bows and arrows, swords, armor, horses, lances, and shit go? That was way more fun than guns.

I heard they take away your karma, and make it so whenever you talk a black cloud appears, obscuring all your words.

This is bad, bad.

But I saw a photo once of what they call The Death of a Thousand Cuts.

Its exactly what you're thinking.

The weird thing was the look on the guys face. It looked like he had found enlightenment or something.

I just remember that disturbing and interesting.

in one of the Dostoyevsky books i've read, it had a prison punishment called walking the green street, you had to walk/run thru a gauntlet of guards armed with clubs, they beat you as you walked thru, if you fell they kept beating you.

Many nations have been noted for the cruelty of their torture.

The Spaniards were pretty bad back in the day for sure.

I'm sure Rome had it down to a science.

I heard at gitmo, they sit them in a room with a DVD player and TV and make them watch 'Alexander' over and over...

You think what they did to humans is bad... look what they do to dolphins. Yes, the same dolphins that rescue many a human from killer sharks and stingrays and puffy fish and riptides and the car that runs the stoplight while you're crossing.

They are a viscious people. Meek and unassuming on the outside; rage-filled masochists underneath.

Yea, Chineese water tourture, in the middle of the forehead.
Starts out as a minor irritation.
But after a while, just the
anticipation of the next drop drives you mad.
Relates to the effect of all sorts of minor chronic physical and psychological
"irritants" in modern life.

Joke from the Sopranos:
Oriental is in optometrist office. The optometrist says "I think weve found the problem, you have a cataract."

Oriental:
"Nah uh, I drive a rinkin continental"

nasty.

Then again, I thought the death of a thousand cuts method was cuts that were very very tiny, so they bleed to death very slowly. That is some deep ass cutting shit they doing to him.

Post more pics.

Yeah, thats not a thousand cuts, theyre butchering that chick, cut her teets off and everything, nasty. She mustve been a girls gone wild video or something.

Yes that's it, the Chinese water torture in the middle of the forehead. What I find cleaver about those torture methods is that they do not involve pain, but rather mental breakdown. It's pretty easy to cause physical pain, but to truly drive someone crazy doesn't get any worse then that.

Lock someone in a padded room, in a straight jacket, their eyes stapled open, glaring up at a florescent light bulb, while looping tracks by Destiny's Child.

I think the Nazis did this to the Jews: the inserted a very, very thin glass rod into the penis, then female soldiers would fondle them to give them an erection. The glass would shatter. :worried:

Bullshit... unsubstantiated scare story - Josef Mengele conducted experiments but there is no random torture such as you describe. Also perhaps 4everhung will chime in here but I am not aware of any female wehrmacht soldiers udring that era.

I was thinking about that last night whilst I was laying in bed (don't ask).. do you think you'd go crazy because you can't go to sleep? You think you'd be able to sleep with water consistently dripping on your face? I don't think I could..

The main function of that torture method is that it is an irritant that you cannot stop. It's like having an itch that you cannot scratch, which drives you to the point of going beserk. It's highly annoying, and that annoyance simply continues on and on and on and on and never stops, which only makes it more annoying the longer it goes on. I believe right around your forehead there are some very sensitive nerves as well, which doesn't handle irritation too well there.

Seriously try it and you'll see. Put your head under a slowly leaking faucet and see how long you can withstand it.

Please post as many torture pics as you can find on this thread.

Yes, I am serious.
