Janet Jackson

I hope I don't upset anyone for asking this...but I really admire the physique of Janet Jackson. I know most everyone on this board lifts really hard and heavy and probably does not like that look. But right now I feel it's what I would like to achieve. So in all your professional opinions, do you have any idea on the dieting and training style needed to achieve this look?

Awesome, Spatterson!! This one is going on the fridge!!!

I recently saw her in concert..her physique is crazy hard...she was tight and lean everywhere...great set of abs!! She has come a long way from a few years back...

Janet's been up and down a few times - if you recall the "Whatchu takin about Willis?" days, she was a little round. Even back to the JJ Walker days. She leaned out, went to the black bra look on the "Black Cat" video and made us all very jealous in the that video where she's galavanting around on the beach with her hair up in the ripped jeans. I would PAY MONEY to get that look! But then did you see her in the Nutty Professor movie w/ Eddie Murphy. Looking a little Rubenesque there. Then out she comes w/ the 6 pack and more new attitude with her latest album release. (I feel like I"m doing a VH1 - Biography... LOL!) So yea, if you can show me someone who can make those changes naturally, I'll be massively impressed. However I am impressed with a girl well into her 30s who can look that way. I'm sure she's got quite the stable of resources to help with that look.
Still impressed tho! I hope she can stay on this side of that line between wel- maintained and well-preserved....!

If any of you think she all nat, well, think again. Anavar (lite), GH, and a full time training staff can do wonders for anyone.

hehe... i made a post about her plastic surgery fetish, but deleted it... i personally believe this woman has been under the knife more times than her brother...

but much respect to her as a preformer... (not as a songstress, her voice aint all that, but she can put on a show like nobody's business...)

yeah..you don't want to take away from her hard work, because at the end of the day she is the one who made those changes to her body...but millions of dollars, a chef, assistants, trainers, and tons of time to work out kind of tips the scales in her favor.

She has def struggled with her weight through the years (as outlined by sassy69) but she is lookin fine now.

Lobo - do you really think that she used anavar so this look is not attainable naturally? :bawling: Would she risk her voice changing from the anavar? I thought changing up my training syle from bb type to whatever she does might motivate me again. I thought it would be easier to attain instead of continually being disapointed with trying for the fitness competitor look.

debu......nooooo u can do it naturally. there are lots of women on this board that have gotten amazing bods naturally. dont cry hun!!:)

sassy LMAO.... u did sound like u were doing a vh1 special!! that shit was funny!. ohhhh its u !!

now.... Janet Jackson is my all time FAVVVVVV!! and i absolutely adore her body. i think she looks beautiful.....but when i saw her in with the freakin 6 pack i thought **anavar** right away! buttttttt nobody knows and personally i could care less if shes on roids, had her nose, cheeks, breasts etc......done...... she looks wonderful. more power to her!!

You can definitely get a 6 pack WITHOUT using any AS. I'm almost there (even without thermos) and I've got two friends who are there and are natural. A lot does depend on your genetics though, I've been told I have freaky abs cause even at 19.5% body fat I had abs. :D

poppa lobo......... do u think gh is only beneficial for women in their 30's or would it be good for women in their 20's too? and how would u stack gh/anavar? im assuming gh accompanied by ox would be better than gh or anavar alone?

enlighten us....... :)

KB that is what supergirl is doing and she had awesome results:) Gonna do it too;)

Cool thread. I think Janet AS SHE APPEARS at the moment has got a great body. Definitely something to drool over. I personally don't believe any vocalist female would risk their voice with something even as mild as Anavar. However, if I had the financial means that Janet Jackson had, I would go for a maximum of surgery and a minimum of dieting. Dieting hurts a lot more and for a lot longer than most surgery!

It is a waste of energy to speculate on what drugs she may or may not have used. AAS would be out of the running in my opinion. Creatine/thermogenics/clen/DNP/ resrticted carbs/personal trainer and chef/ weight training.....without a doubt she has tried many of these things. But even Janet Jackson has to battle with carb urges, PMS (if she has enough body fat), eating disorders, huge amount of pressure to appeal on camera, and of course, post surgical complications. In other words, don't discount the hard work she has put into that body and performance. Just ask Oprey. All the money on the world won't make it easier to stay young, attractive and sexy.

Perhaps we would be better off if we set goals that didn't depend on money, youth, or sexiness??

Ok, assuming she is natural, what type of training and diet do you think is required for this type of physique?

My problem isn't the abs but the hips!!! I try NOT to squat(please don't flame me!!!) to keep my booty in proportion.

its going to take MAJORRRRRRR squatting for ur ass to get out of proportion....... its not going to bet "big" with squats.....

squats lunges leg press........ cardio (interval training is good)
clean diet........ :)

Whatever she's doing or not doing, I think it's refreshing to see female stars with some muscle. I think Madonna looks good as well. I hope the trend catches on to the general public, and they learn that thin does not necessarily = fit.

It's caught on with me! That's my goal.

KB-whenever I start squatting more I can't get my pants on, and worse it makes my waist thicker too. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Building the muscle underneath the fat just makes me look fatter. As far as cardio goes, I have to do 90min to 2hrs to actually start dropping fat and that's just too much to keep up permanantly.

i heard several years ago that she works out at least three times a day! whew! i wish i could live in the gym, but i have bills to pay! i definately have to throw her some props though for attaining a body like that! she has worked really hard! even if she has had some surgeries! shyt...if i had a ton of money...i would too! (i heard she had her bottom ribs removed to get a smaller waist line....can you even do that??) go on jj....keep up the good work!

Rib removal...

It's possible to have the bottom two "floating" ribs removed on either side, as these have no costotransverse joints (ie, they don't attach to the sternum), and end in the muscular abdominal wall. The floating ribs partially protect your kidneys, however, and I cannot imagine how painful that type of plastic surgery would be... certainly no training or dancing around while you were recovering.

"Floating ribs" that was a question on Millonaire last night!!!

Now any other suggestions on training style and diet other than plastic surgery????

OK I just read the cover story about Janet Jackson in last month's Ebony mag (I was at the dentist office.) They asked her if she had a rib or something removed to get those abs. She said its genetics -- she doesn't really do much -- just trains sometimes and watches her diet. MY ASS.

This chick has been chubby her whole life and has gotten lean & blown up 2x -- you CANNOT tell me a little diet & exercise gets her the 6 pack at age 35.

Anyway, I just thougth it was interesting to read this stuff in a mag - I would think she would just stay away from saying anything or at least say she follows a killer training program.

I love it when stars say stuff like that. A lot of the older stars always deny having had any work done on their drum-tight faces...they say "I just drink a lot of water..."

Yeah RIIIGHT! They might be drinking water, but if they think anyone's going to believe that's the ONLY thing they're doing, then they're smokin' something else entirely

I took a look at it - its good stuff, but not rocket science. She could come here & get that same info for free. Let's not forget that her most recent ex-husband, Rene Elizondo(?) was also a trainer - so I'm guessing he's well-versed in the miracles of exercise science (& chemistry)...
