Seriuosly - aside from a couple late night appearances and a car ads - what's Phelps going to do? Swim for 10,000 fans at Staples Arena in LA? Do a duet with Carrie Underwood? Appear alongside Al Pacino? Get an NFL contract?

And that's why he can't be talked about as one of the greatest "sports figures" or all time..........cause swimmin ain't marketable. He absolutely doesn't have 1/1000000 the charisma of an Ali..............but from a pure "athletic" perspective.......it's hard to pinpoint someone at his level.
