I've noticed something...

It's so quiet here in the morning that I can hear my Microsoft optical mouse when it moves.

I had no idea until today that these things made noise...

Total geek thread. "MS OPITICAL MOUSE"....please.

Is it wireless? I just ordered a wireless keyboard / mouse combo. Wireless is sweet.

My penis whistles show tunes in the shower.

Wireless sucks ass for input devices.
I will never use those again.

Both for the fact that once the batteries run low/out, you are screwed, and also that they have shitty accuracy so that they can limit the data sent via the weak link - and they can be choppy for similar reasons.

Then again, now I just use my laptop for nearly everything and I used to hate laptops.

I still hate Jews.

One step closer to loving Macs...

Nah, it's not wireless...just a regular USB.

To be honest, I would totally switch to a Mac laptop today if they:
1) changed the keyboard layout - it is currently unusable to me and most anyone that is a Unix lover - which is amusing now that they are FreeBSD

2) added the second button on the trackpad. I like trackpads enough, but I'm never going to carry anything put the power supply and the laptop anywhere - I refuse to add a mouse.

3) they increase their resolution at least 1400x1050 on a 15" screen. That is what I have on this laptop and it is finally usable to me. Anything higher like 1600x1200 would be ideal.

4) they figure out a way the laptops don't cook your skin. Granted, many laptops have this issue - but it is exacerbated by their cool titanium shells.

Other than that, I think I'm at the point where I don't do any real heavy computation on my machine - just perl and the like. I also haven't done any really serious Java stuff lately - I mostly just do Perl and C now, and anything computationally intensive is on a server elsewhere, so a Mac would be okay for me if it met the usability requirements that I have.

oh geez no one here is going to get on their Mac pedestal are they?

Man I used a wireless mouse that looked like a cel phone the other day.

Optical mouses are sweet.

It's still too early for Code, and I only do it to antagonize people.

I'm not feeling particularly antagonistic along those lines this morning.
