Not that I feel bad for the guy, but he has gone through hell for this.
There's plenty of reasonable doubt in this case, which is why he'll walk.
Given the tons of bloody lumps on the guy's skull after 3 minutes of getting his ass whooped, he was justified in pulling the trigger to save his life. The part that will remain unknown is whether Trayvon stated the physical part of the altercation.
Either way, that is absolutely not 2nd degree murder.
Could (should) be manslaughter. Im concerned about the precedent it would set if he was found not guilty.
One question folks arent asking is why does Florida's SYG law not apply to Martin as well? Im sure he felt his life was in just as much danger (if not more) as Zimmerman claimed he was.
