going back to the gym for the first time in 2 years. i feel like a giddy high school kid who knows hes gonna get laid. but im also nervous, i dont wanna know how weak i am now. but hey, how else am i gonna get stronger, right? wish me luck...

Good luck, and for your own sake, do not go in and try to be a hero. Take it easy and go light for the first couple of weeks at least. Soreness after a 2 year layoff will be nasty, otherwise.

Well it was what I expected. Horrible. I lost so must strength it isnt even funny. But i still had fun. Tris and chest and horrible stiff and sore today, and i love it. cant wait to go do bi and back tommorow.

You should try to train the body as a whole unit, rather than splittng it up like a typical bodybuilder.

well this is 3 days now of horrible soreness. maybe i overdid a little. i sure hope its gone by tommorow cuz i really wanna get back in the gym. small price to pay though.

Soreness isn't a sign of a workout's efficacy. You should train through soreness, don't let it hold you back from the gym.

only problem is that im so sore my felxibility is down quite a bit, so it would hold me back on some lifts.

If you're sore to the point that your tendons/ligaments are tight as hell, I'd advise some rest. It takes very little to REALLY get sore after a long layoff. In general though, a little soreness is no reason not to train.
