Well, it's dry compared to New Orleans, but 20% still feels pretty muggy around these parts. ...thank God for A/C!! .

you don't know HOW many times i have said that.......how peeps live here with humidity and temps in the 90's all summer is beyond me.....they must drank a LOT of mint julips!!!!!!:p :p

Okinawa sucks. It's above 90 by 0900 every morning, and the humidity is fucking atrocious.

That would be hell for me... I already sweat quite a bit when it gets above 85 or so, and with it not being able to evaporate... ughh. Of course, drowning my sweaty crabiness in refreshing alcoholic beverages would make it considerably better!

my electric bill in december is $35.00, last month it was $102...........worth every penny!! when i added a double car garage a few years ago, i pumped it full of insulation and an 18,000 BTU air conditioner.

I spent a night in an un- air conditioned apartment (long story) down in New Orleans after a night on Bourbon St. in mid- May. It was absolutely fucking miserable beyond all belief. And it wasn't even summertime yet. :worried:

OOF!!!!!!!

my parents did not feel the heat as i do; they kept the thermostat set at 78 (or higher) in the summer....i'd roll from one wet side of the mattress to the other.

the only way i like to avoid the "wet spot" is if someone helped me make it!!!!!!:p :D

Ask for a transfer to Greenland during the summer. :)

I'd kill for a cold day here. Just one. How I miss seasons.

Summer is in full swing here. I stand post 3 hours at a time out there.

If the Marine Corps doesn't give me the package I want I'll transfer my happy ass over to the Airforce or Army and get stationed in Italy. I can be an e-4 in the Marines walk in the AF office, sign, and walk out an e-6.

Phuck Phoenix.

...that is all.

I'd move there in a heartbeat if it weren't for the old lady. Granny lives in Eloy, right by CasaGrande. I've been there about 12 times, use to spend the summer on grandads farm near avondale. About 2 weeks of the summer we'd spend in the trailor at Oak Creek Sedona. Now that kicked ass!

That sounds horrific!!

I start sweating if a thermostat is set above 75 degrees.

this is a strange place in the summer.....it just doesn't cool off at much AT ALL at night, must be all the swaps....... other locales can get into the 90's during the day but cool down to the low 70's or high 60's at night..........NOT HERE!!! in august, at 3 am it's not unusual for the temperature AND humidity to be in the mid 80's without a chance of a breeze......feel sorry for the tourists who come here in the summer. november thru april is better here.

Don't feel to bad, it was about 100 here today with high humidity. Talk about sweaty balls! My grandad visited here one time from Airzona, and said he'd never come back. And he didn't.

Hell yeah, when I win the lottery, I'm going to spend the remainder of my life in Oak Creek Canyon... absolutely beautiful!

I've been told that I keep my house like an icebox, but I like it cold. :)

Ditto, my electric bill is about $200 a month.....but it's the best money spent......keep the ol' A/C at 68......

I remember living in Pheonix and our cars AC had gone out, we drove to my Grandma's to visit her and that day it had broken a record, it hit like 131 or something fucking ridiculous.

I don't want to see my electric bill. I've kept the thermostat around the mid 70's for about 3 weeks now. I fully expect to see a $200+ bill soon.

I sweat like a pig if it gets over 80 degrees. I take a 10 minute walk to the subway every morning for work, and it looks like I took a shower on the way when I get to the station.

I hate summers in DC

Been around ahundred or more for past week in Denver, CO.

Yep......global warming is not proved........until the icecaps melt and part of Manhattan is in saltwater.
