HAMAS LEADER KILLED

A leader of the armed wing of the radical Hamas movement has been killed in an Israeli air strike in the southern Gaza town of Rafah, it has been reported.

AFP news agency said the news came from Palestinian medical and security sources.

The body of 37-year-old Khalid Abu Anza, who was killed in the early morning, was recovered by medics in the evening, AFP reported.

His death brings the number of Palestinians killed in Rafah on Thursday to eight.

It brings the overall toll since the September 2000 start of the Palestinian intifada to 4,075, including 3,086 Palestinians and 918 Israelis, according to an AFP count.

once again, there is not going to be peace until one side defeats the other. the US, the EU, UN, 'arab world', etc needs to back off and let them handle their own affairs.

I think thats a great idea!
As long as we stop giving the israeli's money and weapons.
And to make it fair, we should give the palestinians as much as we've given the jews over the years.

You can't make it fair by just taking away Israeli funding.

You'd either have to take nukes away from Israel (and conventional weapons like apache helicopters and tanks) or by giving the Palestinians similar weapons.

I think it would be a good idea to re-direct fund from Israel to Palestine for a couple years.

US defense contractors won't go for it. Aid to Israel is aid to them, brotha.
American jobs, congressmen, you know the drill. Most of the money above and beyond the equal amount we give to Egypt is either loans or subsidies that must be used to buy US made weapons.

In return, Israel functions as a testing group for our cool, new shit. Where else can you have an urban live fire? As a result, Israel is a default R&D shop for defense contractors, providing feedback about how these weapons really work in urban environments. Israel also throws in a few top scientists that do research for the defense industry.

Until the US stops seeking global military superiority, we're going to support Israel. That's the story behind the "conspiracy"....not so exciting huh?
