it just makes me sad, because we could be this world of awesome international cooperation. There are so many major issues that are only going to get worse without huge international attention... AIDS, overpopulation, pollution, nuclear proliferation

The US needs to realize that things won't be a zero sum game forever. How much stronger do we need to be than everybody else? 10 times stronger? 20? I see our reckless pursuit of power as a major world issue. Apparently so does the rest of the world.

My grandmother knows the Bush family well and says he was always a bit slow. There was a huge statement saying his IQ had tested at an 89 on a legitimate test, and he and his administration did not sue for slander or even deny it. Thus what SHOULD we think of the claim?

My IQ has been tested 8 times while growing up (there was an IQ requirement for the gifted and talented program I participated in during middle school and my IQ is recording in my records from there, as well as in my permanant medical/psychological record). Its not something I could remove if I wanted. However, as pointed out, my only sibling and father both have a much higher score. Now, that being the case, were someone to state on national television or in a newpaper that I had an 89, I could sue them for slander and win, because there is no IQ test on record anywhere with my name on it an an 89, and I have several tests, done by professional psychologists with much higher scores.

So, again, why didn't Bush at least laugh and knowledge the claims as a lie and just nonsense from the left and sue since no retraction was issued... unless there was a legit test somewhere in which he scored that exact number?

Funny they never seem to turn away our foreign aid dollars or our military help when their countries need it. Many of their citizens are hell bent on coming to the U.S.A. to make a better life as well.

However, open discourse on our actions throughout the world is fine with me, it carries little bite and a lot of bark. I would like to see these other countries taking a more active role (not just symbolic actions to win our favor) in the world since they feel the need to be so critical of what we do.
