IS TUNA that helpful with growing?

I drink a couple of protein shakes a day to up my total protein daily but I do like tuna and everyone seems to eat it. If I eat a can or two of tuna a day will I notice anyhting worth it? I'm growing as is but I'd like to speed up the process. I'm 26, 220 at about 16% but pretty hard all arround. My only lard is in the love handles. I'm currently at about 2000 calories/Day and leaning out. Thanks for the help!!
 
i love tuna, pretty much all protein, its good to have food sources of protein and not to rely on just the shakes
 
tuna is one of the best source of protein (in real food)

almost 100% protein
no carbs
low, and good fat (omega 3s)
cheap
easy to prepare

How are you growing while only taking in 2000cal/day at 220lbs?
 
Tuna is a good source of protein...will it make you grow? yes if you take in enough calories and no if you're in a deficit...
let me explain:
to grow you need to take more calories then you expand; thus, you need 220lbs. x 15 = 3300 cal to grow sufficiently...50% of which should be from protein...1600 cal from protein...4cal/g=400g protein
