Is this too many weeks for anavar??

Let me first start out by saying that personally I don't think that my cycle is too long. My friends, like me, tend to cycle on the side of caution(which I believe is smart). They have been trying to convince me of cutting my var use down to 8 weeks instead of 12 saying that it will hurt my liver and most of my gains from it will have alredy been made. Here is what I have planned:

40mg var 12wks
400mg eq 12wks

I will also be taking milk thistle/r-ala/tylers for liver protection. Minus the eq I ran the same cycle last summer and everything checked out at the doc. Do you guys think it would be smarter to run the var for less then 12 wks, or just keep it?

I think you should be ok at 12 weeks...but one thing I would do is kick it out a few weeks and start it in week 3 or 4, that way you can run it out past the EQ, right up until the day before you start PCT.

Whats up bud. I like the idea of starting them at the same time since it takes so long for the eq to actually start working. You think it would be more beneficial to run the like so:

eq wks 1-12
var wks 3-15

My goals for this cycle are to harden up and maintain my current strength while shedding some extra bf. I'm really not concerned with gaining any weight. Right now I'm 5'11 232lbs about 13%bf. I want(and will) get my bf down to 8%. That being said which way would be smarter to cycle? Starting them at the same time, or overlapping the var??

Damnit..i just wrote this long ass response and it took me to some error page...so it didn't work. What i said, basically, is this:

The gains are gonna come regardless, but I think it's more important that you stay "on" right up until you start PCT in order to keep the gains...rather than seeing them faster. Get my drift?

It's a tough choice, but it comes with the territory.

BTW, how has everything been goin as far as workouts are concerned?

I think that the idea of frontloading then tappering with the var was really good and also suggesting a drop to 8 weeks of EQ at a higher dosage
ie:

Weeks 1- 4 40mg VAR
500mg EQ

Weeks 4-8 500mg EQ

Weeks 8-12 40mg VAR

Great, now I have three options. LOL

Basically, you think starting with var and ending with var is the way to go. Why not just keep it going the whole time?

Bull-Workouts have been solid. I'm really digging my routine now. I'm only about 3 weeks deep, but so far so good. Next week I start my lower reps.

Hey bro, to answer why not run it straight, as pointed out before:

On your last week (12) the EQ is going to stick around your system for 3-4 more weeks but getting weaker and weaker. This is why you would want to have the VAR during this time (so really your cycle is now 16 weeks if you do that) but you don't seem to have enough var to do this, PLUS it is a bit long IMHO to cycle escpecially an AA substance.

I also subscribe to the theory that more gms in less time is more results and that around weeks 8-12 unless you bump the dosage up, the gains from EQ will slow down. This is why I suggest upping the dosage but running it longer.

I think some of the vets here would agree.

Also, I AM NOT A PRO, I have only a few cycles under my belt and I am definately not material for either of the recent competition polls (maybe next year.)
