Is this tendonitis, left wrist ???

Tryn2

New member
I have a terrible time with my tendon I think. On my left arm on the outer side is the pain. I guess the tendon that runs from elbow to wrist. It started hurting like when I went to let go of the bar or dumbell, and my grip was just hurting. I felt bad pain right in that spot ???
What is it and what should I do ??

Okay dude, hope this helps. Unfortunalty, I'm kind of an "expert" on tendonitis, as I've had "golfers elbow" for the last 6-7 years. Once it gets "chronic" it's one of those things that you just have to live with, so it's important to move in on it as fast as possible once the injury occurs. Just where is the "orgin" of the pain?????? If it's on the outside of the elbow where the tricep tendon "attaches" to the elbow that would be "tennis elbow." If that's the case, just pop "tennis elbow" into Google, and you can get tons of healing info from there. How long have you been experiencing the pain????? If it's fairly recent, try ice on the arm 3 times a day for about 15 minutes a "pop." A good cream like Icy Hot or Ben Gay 3 times a day will also help, and above all, please rest the arm as much as possibe!!!!!!!! For more info, you can also follow the "Nursing a sore tendon" post by SoreArms, as I'm there too. Once of the reasons that I joined this forum was not only to be able to learn more, cause I feel that even an "old dog" like me can learn a new trick every now and then, but also to be able to help people avoid the kind of "wear and tear" injuries that I've accrued along the 23 years that I've been lifting. If I've learned one thing about tendonitis, it's that stopping it before it gets "chronic" is the key to being able to lifting "pain free." Can't stress this enough dude, ice, rest, and recovery are the best things that you can do now. As I said in the other tendonitis post, It ain't the same not being able to lift for two weeks, as it is not being able to lift for two years (actually I think I was even longer than that trying to heal this S.O.B.) So please follow these guidelines and feel free to ask anymore questions that you may have on it. O.M.G.
