Is this normal??...my tri is really swollen

I just injected 1 cc of fina (75mg) yesterday in my left tri..todays its very swollen. I can notice a pretty big difference between my left and right. I this normal with site injections?...there is no discoloaration, or bruising , or small lumps. just very hard and swolllen..feels almost like i got a pump that just wont go away> Pretty damn sore also.

What size needle did you use? I have no experience with site injections, but I think you are fine. If you moved the needle around that would cause extra soreness. I have never used fina, but I think I have read where soreness and swelling at the injection point is common. I'm sure a vet will better answer your question soon.

thanks for the response..i'm using 25 g 1" pin...i go in a little more than 3/4 of the way with the pin. I wonder if i went a little too deep and thats why its so swollen.

In my experience it is fairly common for swelling to happen with site injections. I always see lumps and soreness in my quads with the inj's. The swelling should reduce in a day or so, and as long as there isn't bruising, wouldn't worry too much.

on site injects I always do both sides at the same time. If you do not it can feel pretty awkward when you lift.

What type of kit did you use? An SD kit, or an A kit?

With the SD kit, my muscle really got swollen, and red, and sore. Even bruised a bit. I wouldn't worry too much. With an A kit... the lateral head of my tri's get a bit tender... but nothing too noticeable.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I also suggest doing each arm on your shots. When I take 1 cc/day... I take 1/2 cc in each tri, or bi, or delt, or whatever. Just to make it even. As Hugh said... it can make your lifts feel awkward... and not to mention the effects your having now.

If the swelling persists and you get bruising and discoloration that can (not does) mean that you ruptured a bloodvessel. Best bet is that you just have some site swelling and that you aren't in any danger. There again if you are really worried go and get it checked out.

Im having the same problem with my injections... Im using A's kit and taking 75mg EOD with winny.. I want to use it ED but the pain is killing me. It's only been about a week and i hoping that the pain and swelling will go away soon. Im using 25g 5/8 needles.

I'm using a;s kit too. this morning I injected my right tri and thats got a little bruise at the site.

last night was horrible...both of my tri's were so swollen I felt like greg valentino. It was very noticeable, i was almost embarassed at the gym. My left is alot better today but my right is still hard as a rock and swollen. I will never ...ever ... inject in my tri's again
