is there any truth to this statement about IGF1 LR3?

so i was reading an article on another site and the poster said that by taking large amounts of igf1 lr3 he had somehow mutated/suppressed his myostatin gene. he backed this up by saying that he worked in a lab that did similar tests and the doctors tested him after he told them about it and they said that he had indeed managed to do something to it...

is there any truth to this statement? is it possible to suppress/mutate this gene to allow for more accelerated muscle growth? what would be the side effects of this? a super enlarged heart seems to come to mind but idk if this gene effects that area or just skeletal muscle...

I don't know why any idiot would want to even attempt to do this. We don't even know the full effects of IGF1-Lr3 when taken in the bodybuilding agreed upon doses, and we kinda self prescibed that anyway. I like the part where you say "He indeed managed to do something to it". Ha!

haha i thought it was kinda out there myself! he was doing doses of 100mcg ed for years if i remember correctly. idk too much about this stuff but he made it seem like that was a lot. what is the normal range?

i read somewhere that in czech something they are offering myostatin suppression therapy, but it sounded as though that WAS the research, but they wanted it to sound more legit so they could get people willing to do it. had to sorta read between the lines on it (who knows what adverse side effects it can cause are, they don't have the same system over there that keeps businesses and such over here in the states from using humans as test subjects). i don't think it's proven at all and it costs (not a small) fortune to my understanding because you are pretty much funding the research. i wish i could remember where i read it at cause i would post the link... i'll go look for it.

any spillover when using igf goes directly to growing your intestines. large muscles pinned with igf directly after training can only use up to maybe 40mcg per with little or no spillover. plus everyday use for as little as 2 weeks renders igf ineffective on muscle growth. not sure about growth of the intestines at that point but have any of you noticed the size of some pro's waist line ??

interesting, where did you get your info from? about the two week thing i mean, i knew that it could make your intestines grow, which was one of the reasons why i found his article to be suspicious.

While I cannot comment on the suppression of the myostatin gene with large amounts of IGF, I can tell you that abusing IGF-1 is a guaranteed pathway to cancer!

On a side note, I have not seen any medical evidence to back up this theory.
