T Tom Treutlein New member Mar 25, 2004 #8 I hate that misconception. Being "cut" is simply having less bodyfat. Less bodyfat allows more muscle to show through. Yes, it does burn more calories at the time, but the heavier lifting will, in the end, account for more used calories. Plus, lifting light like that just isn't fun.
